Cal POV

We kissed and it was official. I was married to the girl of my dreams. Even though we had our difficulties, but what couple doesn't.

Then the windows all shatter. I shelter Mare's body with mine and I feel little pieces of glass fall on my suit. She looks up and we can feel the cool breeze inside. The clouds are clear in the sky and I see no one.

Then the doors slam open and in comes Elara. I step and front of Mare and to my surprise she doesn't object. Now that I have the red blood in my system she can't control me. She also put some in my bracelet.

"Hello again." All the guests stood up and looked at her. Shade, Mare's brother, also stood in front of Mare. Everyone knows how much Elara hates Mare. Suddenly both Shade and I were wrenched off our feet and into the wall. I looked up to see Elara shooting daggers at my wife.

"Please tell me they weren't married." She yelled and the look on everyone's faces said it all.

"Ugh, I would have gotten here sooner if not for those guards. Ah well, they're taken care of now." She said and Mare looked like she was about to cry. She had trained a lot of the people guarding today.

She flicked her wrist and Mare hit the ground. She was clutching her chest just like the night in the bedroom. I knew it had something to do with Elara!

"Elara stop." I said and she finally looked at me. Mare curled up trying to protect her self.

"Why. She killed Maven and she tried to kill me!" She screamed and I looked at her confused. I slowly started to once again put myself in between Elara and Mare.

"I killed Maven." I said and her face dropped. All of a sudden Mare started gasping from relieve.

"Wha-"

"I stabbed him where he stood." I cut her off. She raised her hands, but I was faster. I shot a ball of fire and electricity at her. But when I thought it went through her, she was gone. Blink!

I don't even care. I rush over to Mare and help her sit up. She leans into me and shuts her eyes.

"It never stops." She said and I nodded. She was right, no matter how perfect our life is there would still be enemies.

"But one good thing happened." She said and I laughed and put the crown on her head.

"You're my wife." And she nodded.
