Mare POV

I was finally released from the infirmary. Before that I had made a statement with Cal to the families of the guards. They were all very understanding and we put a memorial of them on the castle stones.

I was now sitting in the library reading a book about philosophy. It was boring but I was too afraid of going anywhere else. Cal was around here somewhere. He had just gotten up and looked for a book to read.

The doors open and I look up to see Shade walking in.

"Hey big brother." I say and he hugs me.

"Hey Mare I've got some news." He says and Cal appears from one of the aisles.

"What's wrong?" I ask looking at his expression.

"Elara was just spotted in the stilts." He says and my eyes widen.

"Is out family-"

"They're okay." He cuts me off and I nod. "They were moved into a room in the castle, hope you don't mind." He said more to Cal then to me.

"Their welcome here whenever." He said and I smilies at him. I'm happy we got married.

"Well she disappeared taking 4 guards with her." He said upset.

I rubbed his arm and he smiled. He walks out and I face Cal.

"Well today has been eventful." He says and wraps his arms around me.

"Yes it has." I say and we kiss. We move to the bedroom and that's where we stay for the rest of the night.

Elara POV

The final battle between us will happen. Tomorrow I will exert my revenge on them.
