I wake up to faint chatter coming from downstairs. I slightly open my eyes and blink a few times until I manage to actually open them. You know when you wake up sometimes and you forget where you are and your heart does that little skip a beat thing for a second? Yep, that's what I woke up to. It happens a lot... to me at least!
I hop up out of my bed and walk downstairs where I find Alysha, Rachel and some random guy standing around the island in the kitchen. I take a quick glance at my watch. "11:13am"
man I slept in.
Rachel: Jack!!
Before I could say anything back, I find my arms around her waste and her arms around my neck and we hug each other deeply, like we didn't ever want to let go.
I look over behind her and I see that random guy looking at me... not even looking glaring. I felt a little awkward but when we let go of each other everything seemed to be normal.
Rachel: it's been TOO long!
Jack: i know, i know. i've been busy. you've obviously been busy.
Rachel: yeah very.
she looks at the guy.
Rachel: This is Brandon. He's my friend.
Brandon: Boyfriend.
Rachel: yeah...
Jack: brandon, boyfriend. cool.
I put my arm out to shake his hand but he seems resistant to shake mine back, but he slowly eases into it. our hands touch and you can feel the tension surge through our arms and into the whole room.
Rachel: Brandon, this is Jack.
Brandon: yeah i picked that up.
He glared at me once again and turned away. He didn't seem that intimidating actually... he seemed kind of weak, not in a not strong way but more in a "oh hi i'm brandon and i am a sensitive person" you know? yeah.
Rachel: sorry... he doesn't like to meet new people.
Jack: more like he gets jealous really easily....
i say under my breathe.
Rachel: what?
Jack: nothing.
Alysha: so jack, how did you sleep?
Jack: great actually.
I look down at my outfit and i seem to still be in my pajamas. and soon i find myself upstairs and changing.
I hop in the shower and turn the cold water on and hop in.
As soon as i'm done i walk downstairs once again to just find Alysha standing in the same spot as before.
Alysha: Rachel and Brandon left.
Jack: I kind of guessed.
I look down at the floor... i'm not looking at anything just pointing my eyes away from Alysha.
Alysha: awwww does jack have a crush?
Jack: pshhhttt no.
i say trying to have the most serious face ever, but you can't really hide the bright red color your face turns when you start to blush.
