Angela's POV
Daniel and I pull up to Alysha's house and we kind of just let ourselves in. I see Jack sitting on the couch, he's wearing the same thing as he was before... in the same position as he was 2 days ago.
We both walk in and he doesn't even flinch. Like he's completely out of it... I can't imagine what's going through his mind.
I walk over to him and take a seat next to where he was sitting.
Angela: Hey.
He looks at me slowly, his under eyes were black and he looked like a mess, in the best way... His eyes widen, and a slight grin was shed.
Jack: Hey.
He doesn't say anything else, he embraces me in a hug and we remain like that until Daniel walks over.
Daniel: Hey man.
Jack: Oh hey Dan.
Daniel sits next to me.
Daniel: How are you doing bro?
Jack: I guess i'm doing okay, better.
daniel's phone starts to ring as he takes his phone out of his pocket and begins to walk out of the room... and into the next one.
Angela: So you say you're doing better?
Jack: Yeah i guess so.
He gets up and walks over to the kitchen where he makes himself a glass of water. I wouldn't be surprised if this was his first time getting up.
Angela: You know jack...
I say getting up and walking over to him.
Angela: I care about you a lot and i hate to see you like this.
Jack: Like what?
Angela: Like this... so upset.
Jack: I'm not really upset. I'm mad that i wasted time with the wrong girl. I'm mad at myself... as well as a little heartbroken.
Angela: Don't be mad at yourself. You didn't know.
Jack: But i know now... and that doesn't change anything...
Angela: I don't want you to be here by yourself.. just pondering around here waiting for yourself to be hurt even more.
Jack: I'm fine Angela.
He says sitting on the counter.
Before i say anything else i hear a knocking on the door.
Angela: Who is it?
Jack: It's probably Alysha.
Jack says as the person responds but of course i didn't hear it because of Jacks loud voice.
I open the door to reveal Jonah.
Angela: Jonah!
Jonah: Angela!
We greet each other with a big hug.
Jonah and I go way back.
Jonah: hey jack!
Jack: Hey bro, how's it going?
Jonah: Pretty good how about yourself?
Jack: I'm doing well.
As Jack and Jonah exchange conversation, i grab an apple from the middle of the table and take a bite. And I join in.
We remain talking for hours as Daniel comes in and out, being on the phone and walking out and then coming back in.
Jack is actually smiling? that's unheard of. Jonah and Daniel must be great candidates for curing someone's sadness. Great guys... Great night...
