I gasp for air, I sit up and I am damp and really hot. I look around but I can't see anything, everything is dark, everything is pitch black. I find my self still heavily breathing.

Rachel: Jack?

I see my door crack open and a glimmer of light cast into my room.

Jack: yeah.
i was shocked to see her.

Rachel: are you okay? i heard a scream.

Jack: i'm uh, i'm fine.

Rachel: you sure?

Jack: yeah.

I see her walk away. I lay back down and rip the covers off of my sweaty, sticky body. Hours pass but I never end up falling back to sleep. I was up all night. Thinking. Not about anything in particular, just thinking.
     4:34am

I hear Rachel, she's on the phone with Brandon, yep this late at night. More like early in the morning. I can't sleep at all. From the dream I just experienced... to the slight talking coming from down the hall. I feel like I need air, I feel like I need to come up for a breathe.

Before I knew it I was gone. I had no idea where I was headed but I am going somewhere other then here.

I drive away from the house in one of Alysha's cars. An Audi A4 to be exact.

I continue until I see a small flickering light coming from the right side of the road. It reads "open". I look to see if this open place looks like a decent place to go. I squint my eyes to read the main sign located at the top of the small building.

"Caribou Cafe". Its the same place as before. I decide to pull into the parking lot and park. I get out and slowly walk towards the door. I touch the handle, and its freezing cold. I get a shiver throughout my whole body and then walk in.

It was completely empty besides a girl in the corner wiping off a table.

"hello?" The girls says with an enthusiastic voice.

I look behind me thinking that there was someone else behind me that she was talking to. But its 5am, i am the only one here.

Jack: uh hi.

She looks at me and looks back down at the table she was cleaning and then looks back up.

The girl: oh hey, aren't you that kid from the internet?

Jack: there are not of kids from the internet.

i walk closer to her.

she laughs.

The girl: you know what i mean.

i laugh.

I take a seat at the main counter by where she was standing doing something fancy on the computer.

The girl: so can i get you anything.

Jack: oh well since I'm here... Ill have a triple shot, non-fat, half sweet, macchiato with caramel drizzled on the top with extra whip cream.

The girl: Uh

Jack: Also can i get a side of whip cream.

she looks at me like I'm crazy.

Jack: kidding. Ill have a regular hot chocolate.

She laughs.

The girl: so just regular? nothing weird added? No whip cream?

Jack: regular.

The girl: coming right up.

she begins to make my drink.

The girl: so you're an early riser?

Jack: I wouldn't say riser, i never really went to sleep.

The girl: and why is that? Internet kids never sleep?

Jack: well i had a dream, a bad dream and I've been up for hours.

The girl: I know the feeling.

Jack: glad to know I'm not the only one.

The girl: yeah

she smiles at me.

Jack: so why is your coffee shop opened this early.

The girl: We're open all night. I don't really know why... its my dad, i guess he wants it that way.

Jack: so you work all night?!

she laughs as she hands me my drink.

The girl: no,no i work from 5:00am to 7:00am some days before school, I'm usually the fill in girl. you know if no one can cover a shift, everyone asks me to work.

Jack: So you don't work that often.

The girl: in the mornings.... maybe once a month.

Jack: well i am very fortunate that you worked this particular morning.

she smiles again as her cheeks go a little red.

The girl: why is that?

Jack: well i wouldn't want some random mean old guy serving me in a time like this, now would i?

The girl: I guess not.

My phone rings from inside my pocket but I hit decline. I don't want anyone else to talk to me right now. I block out everything, and just focus on what is here in front of me.

Jack: So who is that guy that plays here sometimes? He's really good.

The girl: well we have a few. There is Andrew, Daniel, Kyle....

Jack: Which one was playing here like 3 days ago.

The girl: uhhh let me check.

She walks into a back room where a big book was placed.

The girl: Daniel Seavey, why?

Jack: When I came in here, I saw him and he just looked really familiar.

The girl: He was on American Idol.

Jack: I know that, I just feel like I know him from somewhere else.

The girl: He has a YouTube channel. Don't you have one of those?

Jack: I mean yeah I do, maybe thats where I know him from. I don't know.

her phone buzzes and she looks at it for a while while her thumbs press all over the screen.

Jack: I never caught your name.

she looks up and puts her phone back down.

The girl: Angela.

Jack: Nice to meet you, I'm Jack.

Angela: Jack, I like that name.

Jack: yeah me too, its my name so i kinda have to.

she looks at me with her bright blue eyes and if i were to read this moment right, i would think we were having one.

Angela: its my dogs name, so i really have to like it too.

Jack: wow you ruined that.

we both start giggling.

Angela: ruined what?

Jack: that moment, you ruined it.

Angela: We had a moment?

Jack: Oh yeah we totally did until you compared me to your dog.

Our voices grow louder and louder. Laughs were shed, smiles were made and happiness was shared all through the darkness until the sun rose. Even then we still continued to talk until she had to leave for school. I walked her to her car, and to be honest i didn't want to say goodbye.
