Synopsis:

12,000 years after the events in Genesis Aquarion, humans live on the star Vega under constant threat of trans-dimensional beings called Abductors. These enemies originate from Vega's sister star Altair and raid Vega for human life. As a countermeasure, an organization known as Neo-DEAVA formed to combat the Abductors. They pilot advanced mecha suits called Aquaria and are strictly separated by gender. Boys and girls are not allowed contact; they are even restrained from fighting on the same battlefield. However, events take a shocking turn when an advanced Abductor mecha suit joins the fray. Two teenagers, Mikono and Amata, are dragged into the conflict. Unknowingly, Amata performs a taboo when he summons an Aquaria and initializes what is called the Forbidden Union between male and female Aquaria. Neo-DEAVA is shocked, and the repercussions of Amata's actions are much farther reaching than he realizes. How was he able to summon an Aquaria? Where did he learn to form a Forbidden Union? And why was Mikono also able to pilot the mecha suit?

Kagura "Wild Boy" Demuri

One of Izumo's subordinates, and the man whom Cayenne saw with Mikono in his "wedding in mourning clothes" vision.

Feeling Mikono's scent, Kagura claims that he had found his "wench" and thus, is determined to claim her at all costs. Going far as disobeying Izumo and searching for her alone in Vega.

His behavior is similar to a wolf and his sense of smell is so strong that he can track the one he desires easily. When he is aboard of his mecha, Misla Gnis, his sense of smell grows stronger to the point he can smells the pilots in the Vectors.

Later on, it's revealed that he is also a element user. His power is to "reverse", allowing him to reverse the damage in his own body to the one trying to inflict it or even reversing the blood flow within another's people heart. And just like it occurs with other elements, Kagura's reversing power is reflected on his speech, as the more he craves for Mikono, the more he insults and threatens her.

His appearance and attitude resemble those of Apollo, the protagonist of the original Aquarion series.

Amata Sora

The main protagonist whose element power is levitation. Unable to control his powers as it activates every time he is scared or excited, he wears special boots with weights as a prevention to his element power in case it was accidentally activated. He shunned his ability since childhood until he used it to protect Mikono from an attack of the Abductors and took control of a vector, broke the seal Aquaria has in place to prevent Union between male and female and call upon the true name to invoke Aquarion Evol. It is shown that he has "Wings" on his feet.

Amata is actually Alicia's son, abandoned by her when he was a child, he grew up angry on her for leaving him behind, until she reveals to him that she left Vega to help his father Izumo, not taking him with her to ensure his safety. It was also during that moment, that he was split into two different beings by Mykage, the other being Kagura. After finishing the Special Training of the Grave devised by Zen Fudo he can now freely summon the Wings on his feet and is able to create a special skill called Detachment Wings allowing him to deflect Kagura's Power of Reversal.
