After that night a lot of days had gone. The page of April of calendar had almost come to the end. The days of the couple were flying in the same monotonous regularity.

His consistency of keeping his eyes on her and looking after her continued just as well as her indifference.

Except one change, that happened in unawareness of any of them.

Tuli was Shuvro's best friend since the time he knew what best friend meant. It was her, through whom he knew Butu, Arun and everyone else. Butu and Arun being boys grew closer with Shuvro in a natural way, but the thing no one ever got, was inside Shuvro's mind. Everyone was his friends, Tuli was Shuvro's home.

He knew her every movement, every gaze of her eyes. She was his favourite book he had been reading since childhood over and over again.

He knew all her secrets, he knew when she fell for Sumedh just taking a glance of her. That smile on her face had never been there.

He still remembered that particular day. They were coming out of Somnath sir's biology coaching. Shuvro leaning over Arun's shoulder while walking was looking at some videos on his new phone, when Tuli giggled out loud calling out their name.

Sumedh had sent some kind of joke to her. The joke was so hilarious that made Arun was roaring with laughter. But Suvro could afford one smile.

That glint on her face, was very familiar to him. He felt it on her face while talking to her. He knew, that day, that moment- he knew.

But these days, what he didn't know, was of a new growing habit of her of coming tiptoeing inside his room every night and stare at him.

First it was her fear that brought her in his room to see whether be was sleeping at all not. After Shuvro asked her to keep the door open she was wide awake the night thinking he would come and pound on her, thought she had her door locked. But the next night she went to see herself to watch whether he was asleep or just waiting for her to doze off.

Seeing him asleep tip toed she went towards his bed. The sleeping figure of him was evoking many thoughts to her.

'What if I strangle him tightly will he be able to defend sleepily? Then I will kill myself too and all this will be over.'

She thought.

Nights continued in this way but unknowingly to her the thoughts changed in her subconscious.

Some nights she would just stand at the doorway looking at him sleeping- his chest raised and fell rapidly continuously, his mouth slightly open smashed into the pillow, some of his locks that would be just pushed back in a order at the morning, then would be falling carelessly over his forehead. She would notice his bed made in a subtle order. His specs would be kept on the side table just beside his phone; plugged in a charger.

She would notice everything subconsciously. The picture was so peaceful for her. That bliss would break her into sleep as soon as he would lay on bed.

After waking up the next morning Shuvro wont know anything about it. Then it was his duty to have a look of her.

Her days ended with him, and his started with her. Her darkness, that she wanted to conceal from him, all he wanted was to prevent that.

So one day after getting up in the morning and at the usual time when Suvro was not at her doorstep, unawarely something happened to Tuli. Her eyes without her consent, Indiscernibly kept shuttling between the door and nowhere as she sat on the rocking chair. Even last night he was up late, and she returned from his door feeling utterly irritated.

She had peeped through his door at her usual time and got caught instantly. Seeing her standing at the doorway with a deer caught in light face, his eyebrows raised too.

"You want something?" He had asked. But unable to process and evaluate her thoughts she had turned on her heels instantly. And went straight to bed with a pained face.

And now at the morning seeing no sign of him the same feeling was oozing inside her, though she herself was unaware about it. Seeing a shade coming towards her room she jumped up and closed her eyes, for she thought that was Suvro. And her conscious mind put on a irritated expression.

But it turned out Chaya who came tip toed, hesitatingly towards her 'boudimoni' and whispering her name.

Tuli sprang upon the chair hearing her voice, somewhat a little surprised.

"Suvodada, is not getting up. Can you please go and check?"

Chaya's question took time, for her to realize.

Getting out of perplexity she mumbled with a little irritation, "why don't you try to wake him up?"

With more irritation Chaya looked at her, failing to understand whether she had fail to make Tuli understand that she had try. Multiple times. Her face was clearly screaming, 'I don't have time for this lady, there is so much to do. You go and get your damn husband's ass up!'

But if only she could mouth them.

All she could mouth was, "I did try." in a flat tone.

Tuli sighed and stood up from her chair.

The door was open ajar and the scene inside it made her eyebrows up. The room of "always neat and perfect" Suvro was vividly messed up. An unwashed coffee mug, on which a hard of flies were having party - was sitting on the table, the laptop was wide open, drained off all the charges, and amidst of bundles of papers and open files Suvro was sleeping, curling up in a ball.

She hesitated a bit before calling out his name. She could feel Chaya's inspecting eyes constantly on her.

Biting her lower lip she approached him.

Her mouth opened to call out his name but it felt so awkward, she was surprised by herself. The name she had uttered for umpteenth times and again. Once the name meant so much to her, and now, she was thinking before taking it.

"Suvro!" She started poking his hand but he gave not one heed.

"Call him loudly!" Chaya's voice instructed, fuelling the irritation inside her.

And suddenly some type of authority barged in side her making her turning at Chaya and spoke up in a commanding tone, asking Chaya to go back to kitchen and assemble the breakfast.

Flabbergasted Chaya looked at her with wide eyes and then walked back to kitchen.

And now Tulika started tapping him rapidly as the result Suvro tossed a little but murmuring a "later." he dozed off again.

Tulika's face crumbled up appearing a frown on her forehead.

'What type of ridiculous problem is this?'

She pursed her lips thinking of leaving him in that way. How was it her problem if he stayed home sleeping!

But then thinking something she approached him again.

"Suvro! Ei Suvro!!!" She tapped rapidly with force and he sprang up.

"What!"

He sprang up on the bed looking here and there. His just awaken eyes were bewildered, and due to the drool from his open mouth a paper got stuck on his right cheek.

"What happened?" He asked her still being in trance.

Making a face she picked out the paper off his cheek and left the room dropping it on the bed...
