"Rise and shine, assholes!"

Y/n stormed her way into the tent where Alexander, John and Gilbert were sleeping.

"We have a big day ahead of us, and I need all of you at your best!" She growled pulling the covers from John. "Get up, twinkle-toes!"

The three men groaned in annoyance as the H/C girl strode across the floor, her black knee high combat boots, clicking against the ground with each step she took.

"Mon amour, I know you mean well, but vraiment? This early?"

(vraimentm - really?)

"Idiots..." Y/n muttered as she pulled Hamilton up by his foot. "You know it's nearly midi, right?"

John rubbed his eyes tiredly, looking at his friends in confusion, "What, what does midi mean?"

"It means midday..." Laf trailed off, "Shit! It's post day" He quickly stood up putting on his boots and throwing his blue coat over his shoulders, John and Alex following suit.

"Yup, and your letters, my friends are awaiting you, in Washington's cabin. Seeing as everyone else received their phone calls or letters already, Washington decided to keep yours safe"

The E\C girl smirked at the panicked faces of their friends and laughed hysterically as she watched them rush out the tent.

I sat outside the cabin waiting for my friends to emerge from the door, I already knew Washington was going to give them shit for waking up so late, with no valid excuse.

I sat on the soft, lush grass, gently picking blades from the ground and tearing them into smaller pieces watching them scatter in the wind.

A figure sat beside me, leaning their head on my shoulder, making me chuckle.

"So, how'd it go?" I mused as Hamilton lifted his head, sighing, and looked ahead of himself.

"We were given our letters, then lectured about sleeping in late"

I bit back my laughter.

"It was, how you say, depressing"

I smirked and looked up at Lafayette, "How so?"

Hamilton gave me a dumbfounded look and raised his eyebrow.

"Three grown men, getting told off by our commander, for sleeping in... IN THE MIDDLE OF A WAR!" His eyes shone with embarrassment and self-pity.

"Not only that but we have cleaning duty for the next week..." Laurens muttered.

I couldn't help myself, clutching my stomach, I fell backwards, laughing my ass off. Causing the three men to either look away, red in the face or stare at me in concern for my mental health.

"Haha- you three, cleaning? Hah- I'd kill to see you in aprons and gloves- Hehe- holding bleach in one hand and a sponge in the other- Ahaha!"

(Is G.Wash secretly Levi~~~)

They all looked at me and my shaking form, other soldiers and cadets walked past, either staring at us in confusion or shaking their heads, already being used to behaviour like this.

" Ma Chère, s'il vou plaît, lower your voice, Monsoir Hamilton is already embarrassed, enough," Laf said with a faint chuckle as he helped me to my feet.

I smirked, "Oh~ Sorry, did you say you wanted me to take my voice? ~Like this~? WASHINGTON GAVE YOU CLEANING DUTIES, HA. HES REALLY HIS JUST LIKE A FATHER TO YOU, TELLING YO- Mhp!"

I hand was placed harshly over my mouth, I followed the arm to Hamilton's eyes, as he glared at me. Upon hearing the 'manly' giggles from the other two soldiers, he removed his hand from my mouth and flipped the two off.

"C'mon, we have to get to the dinner hall, before the food goes cold," Laurens spoke, waving his hand for us to follow as he walked towards the mess hall.

"Laf?" I asked, "Will you miss me as much as I'm going to miss you?" I looked up at him, tears starting to leave my eyes.

"Mon amour, I'm going to miss you, ten times more than you could miss me," He smiled at me, then walked past me to Alexander.

"Don't kill Burr while I'm gone, I want to be there to see that! Give my best wishes to Eliza, and the baby to come."  He chuckled, petting Hamiltons head, his eyes closed and his lips pulled into a joyful smile.

"I can't promise to keep Burr alive, but I can promise to protect Y/n!" Alex wrapped an arm around my shoulders, making me join in with their laughter.

"John, keep yourself safe, and please, mon ami, don't let these to get into too much trouble!" He smiled, pulling Laurens into the group hug.

Lafayette pulled me into a kiss, "Be safe, ma chére. I'll be waiting, for you on Chesapeake Bay, don't be long." he smiled sadly to me, as he walked past me and onto the ship, headed to France.

Alexander, Laurens and I, stood tall, saluting at the disappearing boat. (While writing this, I couldn't help but think of Armin's salute xD)

I'll see you soon Laf...

The boat was out of sight and I turned to face the other two, who smiled at me, "C'mon, let's get back," Laurens grabbed my arm, along with Alexander's, pulling us away from the docks.

I saw Washington walked toward us, and abruptly stopped, causing Laurens to stop and Alexander to crash into his back, I winced and muttered an apology.

"Those were some true salutes, Y/n I'm sure your boyfriend will be fine," George said, with smirk watching as my cheeks flared crimson red.
"Thanks, Sir, I guess..." I muttered, looking to the floor.

Alexander and Washington fell into conversation, as John and I walked away to the tent.
"We'll see Mulligan and Laf again, right?" My voice wavered nearer the end.

A look of shock flashed through John's face, before he nodded vigorously, his curly, tied back hair, pieces twirling out of the ponytail and dancing in the wind as we walked. My H/C hair was left down as it flew in the breeze, the sun was setting over the hills to the West and the full moon was slowly rising from the East, layering the surrounding land in a soft orange glow, the sky was dark, but still stayed a blue colour, as the silver glow of the moon made the star shine.

"God, I wish Hamilton could be here with me..." John whispered, not wanting me to hear him, "You still like him dont you?" I spoke softly.
"Yeah, but I know there's someone else out there for me!" His eyes shone with tears, as he smiled sadly.
"Hey, just because someone's your soulmate, doesn't mean you have to have romantic feelings for them," I said as we sat down, on the soft grass, gazing into the sky.
"Fate just finds the one your most spiritually connected with, not who you would feel romantically attracted to, and it's not the most bizarre thing for soulmates to hate each other, not that Alexander and you hate each other.," I looked at him, placing a comforting hand onto his shoulder, chuckling softly, I continued, "Remember when I first me Lafayette, we hated each other for a year, until you and Hercules locked us in a room together for twenty-four hours, with nothing but half a pizza!" I smiled, causing him to as well.

We stayed under the stars for a little longer, before retreating to the tent, where Alexander was curled into a ball, onto of his covers, he had clearly tried to stay awake for us. I climbed into Laf's bed, clutching the pillow to my chest and throwing the covers over myself. John lifted a blanket from my bed and placed it over Hamilton's sleeping form, before getting into his own bed.

"Night, Laurens," I muttered, digging my head into Laf's pillow.
I heard him chuckle before replying, "G'night, Y/n,"
