He put the band lens over my eyes and I saw total darkness. "Computer. Go to FlixNet and put on-" Before I could her Tanner Last words the sound canceling headphones on me.
"Command confirmed." I heard the computer say.

All this is so unnecessary.
About 10 minute later, someone pulled off the blindfold and I saw Tanner walk back to his recliner. I looked around and saw fear in all the kids faces. The couches and other recliners were pulled around and set up like a theater. The guy teen and excitement on their smirking expressions while the girls look a little bored. I looked down and saw blankets ready to be used and snacks ready to be eaten.

So what movie did they put in?
I looked up at the huge rectangular holo screen, making my eyes widen in fear.
Conjuring 5?! Seriously! Ugh. Find! I don't even care. I can watch a little horror. Alex put his arm around me.
"It will be great." He grinned.
Just a few minutes ago you were a sleepy dog. And now you come back with energized life?!
"Ah... Sure." I laughed nervously. Tanner hit play while I snuggled up closer to Alex with a worried face. He laughed as the movie started.
//
Do you ever get a sense where you can't move because you're not scared but you're not, not scared? That's what I was feeling.
The movie finally ended I was too freaked out to move. I looked over- Thought I saw to afraid to movie writer?- and saw most of the older girls with bored expressions while some went back on their tablets. The guys nodded and saying to each other how good the movie was, Cody looked like her was about to cry, poor kid.
"I think there freaked." Tanner joked. That seemed to have snapped Sofia out of her trance cause she then chucked a bowl at his chest.
"Hey?" He moaned, rubbing the impact zone.
"Opps? Must have slipped." She said innocently.
I was holding on to Alex's arm for dear life but He the shook it for me to let go. I did, starting to relax. He stretched his arms and yawned, then leaned his tight cut body back.
"Ok let's get you to bed kid," Tanner said, Me picking me up in His arms and starting towards the hall.
Normally I would be hitting his back to put me down but I was too freaked and tired. We make it to the elevators, he was about to step in when I spoke out.
"Can we take the stairs?" I said in a sleepy voice.
"But I'm tired too." He whined.
"Please?" I said innocently.

He growled, annoyed. "Fine," Tanner mumbled and he walked to the carpeted stairs.
He can be so nice! Sometimes.

The next morning...

I walked down the steps to the kitchen.

I think I'm going to have a bagel and cream cheese for breakfast. After I finished eating I went to my secure message channel and saw that the votes for "Cut the poor humanoid people off" Had come in. I crossed my finger and opened it, the report I was shocked.

Out of 30 kids, only 4 including me voted NOT to do this?'"The Nibsic is this?" I said with a frustrated expression. I immediately called Jessalyn on my G4.
"Hey. What's up First Son?" She said.
"Hey. Good morning. Did Siobhan tell you about the foolish Kid Advisory Council's idea right?" I asked.
"Yup. I think it's totally illogical." She said shaking her head.
"And I have friends down there like you too." I sighed. "Well, anyway the votes came back. You won't believe it."
"Tell me."
And I told her the score.
"Birdbrained bandit!" She yelled.
"So the City Defense Station is putting up the street wall in about an 1 hour."
"Can't your father do anything?"
Why won't He...
"I asked Him to but after Chen sent it to the Nation Senate, that's what most of them voted. I don't think they really understood it. They are in a lot of head heat with the Starfleet exploration and contracting operations." I replied.
"Sons of biscuits." She joked.
"So I'm going to the Exodus Tower to get one more look at those districts. You and Siobhan should come too." I said standing up.
"Ok. Wait why would you go to the Exodus Tower? It's one of the tallest towers in the UNSS?" She questioned.
"Exactly," I said simply.
That view through...
"Oh. Ok. See you there." The transmission ended and I walked to the center of the room. "Computer? If my family ask, alert them of my whereabouts. And asked the Transporter Room at the Exodus Tower to transport me there please." I said, looking up at the high chandelier.
