U.N.S.S. & Elemental Arts [COMPLETE]

Chapter 10

It was late, dark and cloudy. I was on on the shuttle runway with my Mom and Dad as the workers finished loading up my stuff. "Say hello to my sister and her kids for me." My mom said, hugging me. I was standing by the small ship I was going to use to travel.
"I will Mother. Um? where are Gabriella, Alex, and Tanner?" I asked.
"They... Had to go on a mission. But they said to say goodbye." I father said to me. I nodded, a little sad they weren't. I gave my parents one more hug and got into the shuttle, taking it out onto the take off zone.
"Shuttle 29. You are clear for takeoff." The controller said on the radio. I slowly pushed the throttle forward and the shuttle rose up. Looking back, my parents were waving to me as I flew out to the upper atmosphere.

Passing the upper atmosphere I entered space just over Nation 1, prepping my system for an FTL jump.
"Computer. Set course. Nav points for, umm,"

What was the name of her planet again? Ohh yeah.

"Set course for planet Amity."

It took a few seconds but the system replied, "Course laid in. Ready for warp." I gripped the silver warp throttle and pushed it forward. Feeling the yield of it while hearing the zero element core charge up. Seconds later I was banking side to side in a bright light blue sparkling tunnel with Nations and stars passing by.
Ok, look like the nacelle did overheat.

After putting the systems controls to auto, I leaned back in the seat, relaxed for the trip.

"Arriving at Planet Amity in 2 minutes." The computer announced.
I wonder what it's gonna be like there.... What did She mean by, "infected"? Did she build a wall because of it? Can I learn to manipulate an element? Ugh, All these questions and no answers! Yet.
While I looked over the blue interface control screens the computers interrupted the soundless peace.
"Arrival at Amity in 4. 3. 2. 1."

And just like that, the shuttle came out of warp and I saw the planet. It was mostly green and blue, sitting in the center of a populated solar system with only eight other planets. Amity looked to be about the size of 3 Earth planets.
"Manually controlled advised for re-entry. Unknow, atmospheric conditions." The computer said.

I grabbed the yoke and pushed down to descend, soon passing the lower atmosphere and layers of clouds til I flew smoothing over the grassy fields of Amity, blue painted cloud filled skies above me. While following the location shown on the displaying holo map I saw what looked to be a tall object a few meters away. Then, all of a sudden, noises filled the flight deck.

"Alert! Alert! Tower object ahead."
"Pull up! Increase ascent." I looked at all the systems and screen going haywire confused.
What is it talking about? I don't see a thing.
A visual answer came then appeared before me.

I looked up to see a light brown blocked plated wall going up high into the clouds straight ahead of me. I sighed.

Of course.

After I realized I was getting too close for my personal comfort I grabbed the left throttle and a pushed it forward. Hearing the fusion engine cores ignite I yanked the control column back to claim up. I was going so fast the force of the ascending velocity pushed me back into my seat. After what felt like about five minutes of climbing I cleared the wall.

When I got to the top of it I looked down and saw what looked, people. They were in a stationed lined across the top front side of the wall, were what looked to be some sort of black and green armored

Guards maybe? But for what?

One guard looked up and saw me through the glass of the shuttle, waving his hand at me. I smiled nervously, waving back as he returned to his post.
I looked out once more and saw after flying all the way past the wide wall, the most amazing thing ever. Great green plains fill the wide open space. Small groups of trees here and there. I saw what looked to be small houses and very large barns right across from them. Large, wide lakes and rivers looked like dots at different locations. A mass agricultural interior?
