Chapter 16

After Renina stood up, where she was standing I waterbender A tall circular ice platform so everyone could see her. I cupped my mouth.

"Hey! Everybody listen up!" I yelled, mentioning up to Queen Renina. She looked at everyone, then me. I nodded at her with a smile. She nodded back. then looked at all the people gathering around.

"I am so sorry about truly knowing the full circumstances of every one of my citizen's lives. But now I have news for everyone. No matter what ring you live in." Renina said. She told everyone on the outside and about all the new bending and all the people and society that formed outside the walls. She sadly apologized for not knowing the state and how truly her people felt. But then she said something I didn't understand. "And at noon tomorrow, I will give the orders to open up the four Outer Wall gates. And, I will also have the Lower Ring opened up. So that the Lowest Ring citizens can enter to the next district without such, forceful measures. And we will rebuild those districts, together."

Seconds later I sensed someone behind me. Turning around I saw Cole.

"What are you doing here? How long have you been standing there?" I questioned looking up to him.

The teen was eating ice cream!

"Just now."

"Why will just opening up the Lower Ring's wall help them? I know it's good to connect the two but still." I say confused.
"Well, fail those two Rings can help each other out." He said, licking his ice cream with one hand in his pocket.
"Now everyone. Please, no more fighting. This is supposed to be a beacon of peace and happiness. Now I know I have failed in making sure everyone loved it here. Please forgive me. From now on, everyone will be treated equally. Please return to your district and spread the word." She finished.

For a moment it looked like everyone was going to start fighting again. But Then after a few people looking around, some started clapping and cheer. I thought my eardrums would explode because of all the noise. After a while, everyone went home. Including Queen Renina, Me and Cole.
