Chapter One: Nine Years Later

Third POV

"Come on! Don't be such a party pooper!" a male said as he slouched on a smaller girl.

"Get off! Your heavy!" The smaller girl shot at the male as she pushed him off making him fall to the floor.

"Ouch, Nay! What the fuck?!" The male yelled as she stood back up.

"I told you to stop calling me that, my only name is Nayeli so learn it" Nayeli spat out to him with a glare.

"Awe come on Nayeli, don't be like that" Atticus said with a small pout.

"I can be how ever I want, now come one we need to get going" Nayeli said as she started to walk away from Atticus.

Atticus sighed as he went to catch up to Nayeli, "What's the rush? It's still early".

"Good cause for some reason every time I want with you we end up barely making it to class" Nayeli glared at Atticus as he ignored it as looked away innocently.

'I have to make this year look amazing if I wanna get into J.I. University....' Nayeli thought, walking to school. She was now in senior year of highschool.

It was only three months since school started but Nayeli wasn't wasting any time to make her college application look very appealing.

After the walk, Nayeli and Atticus made it to Marilyn High with time to spare. "Look, I told you we would be early...let's go get breakfast!" Atticus said happily as he grabbed Nayeli's wrist, dragging her to the cafeteria.

"I already eat" Nayeli tried to wiggle out of Atticus grip but failed, 'Man when he want food he gets so strong! What the fuck?!'.

Atticus continued to walk as Nayeli was dragged behind him. "Are you serious?" Nayeli tried to pull away only for Atticus to pull her closer.

After a few minutes, Nayeli gave up and let Atticus drag her to the cafeteria. "I'm hungry, let's just get something real quick. I need food to survive school" Atticus said looking at Nayeli, "besides our friends are probably there".

"Your friends" Nayeli corrected.

"Don't be like that, we're all friends" Atticus said as they were now in the halls walking to the lunch room.

"No we're not, if they were my friends I would like them" Nayeli said rolling her eyes. Nayeli was always picky when it came to friends, one remark could end any chance of being her friend.

And Atticus's friends always knew what to say to do just that. Nayeli really did not like them.

"Come on....give them another chance?" Atticus said smiling hopefully at Nayeli as they got to the lunch room's doors. Letting go of Nayeli, he pushed the doors open, holding it for the now free lady.

"I did, about five times already yet they somehow always mess it up" Nayeli said as she walked through. Atticus gave a quiet chuckle as he enters.

They both start walking to the lunch line. It was shorter than usual, which was quite weird since it was usually long every morning. The duo went through the line, getting their food and paying for it.

"I still think that you need to open up more if you ever want any friends besides me and Jin-soo" Atticus started to walk over to a loud table.
