(Y/N)'s POV

I groaned loudly as I woke up, for some reason I could wake up instantly at a certain time, but at the cost of, well, waking up before 7:30 in the morning. I sat up as I popped my joints and rubbed my eyes.

"Maybe I could-"

"Don't even think about it weirdo. We have to leave early. They started the construction down the street we usually walk down and we have to go the opposite way and around for a while. So hurry up. You have ten minuets to get dressed and eat or else I'm leaving you." I watched as my brother, David, shuffled past my door obviously tired as all hell. I groaned. "Stupid construction.."
-

We made our way out the door with our lunch in our back packs and a new route to hell in mind. School I mean. No we aren't trying to kill ourselves. I looked around as we passed new houses that we've never walked past appear, I watched as some younger kids walked past us to the elementary. I chuckled lightly. At least they were a group of friends.

As we made our way onto a street that would be a straight shot for us, I heard someone yelling. I ignored it until it was painfully close. I turned around to see Davids friend, Brian, running towards us. "Nooogglaaa!!" He slowed his pace as he closed in on us. Only knocking David aside slightly.

"Hey Terrorizer. What's up? I didn't know you walked this way."

"Yeah. I've always taken this route. Why are you guys coming down this way? I've never seen you this way before." He looked at us with confused eyes. Which actually looked at me. "Oh hey (Y/N)." He smiled at me as I felt myself freeze at his beautiful smile. As well as his beautiful eyes. Oh those crystal blue orbs could lose anyone to them. I shook my head as I found myself staring at him as he talked with my brother. I sighed quietly. Of course. I would just be the best friends younger sister. I was off the list of people he would ever consider. Oh bother.

It's been a couple of weeks and we have all spent more time together. In the morning and in school. As all upperclassmen have lunch with each other and the freshmen eat in their own lunch hour. I felt honored that I was beginning to be pulled into this rather large group of friends. I knew them all. But I had never actually gotten to know them as David had. Now I know why he loves them all so much as friends, of course.

One in particular I have gotten to know so much better. Even traded number with, was Brian. He helped me so much and even was like a referee between me and my friends. Some ex friends now. But non of that wouldn't have happened if Brian wouldn't have talked me through signs of a toxic friendships and ones that mean the world, ones that should be kept forever. I had began to fall for him more and more every morning and lunch hour. He was just so, amazing. The way he would do his voices. The way his eyes shine when he smiles. Just. Everything.

But one thing hurt for sure. Was that I was just the best friends younger sister. I was and am off limits to that kinda thing. We could only be friends.

I sighed as I left early in the morning texting Brian to meet me at the usual street. David had gotten sick and couldn't go to school. So he couldn't walk me. I honestly felt a little scared.

I began to walk down the street of now familiar houses and saw the faces of familiar kids. I smiled until I noticed a van pulling in down the street. Strange. I've never noticed that van here before. At any house as a matter of fact. I began to walk faster to the kids as it pulled towards to curb and closer to the kids.

Their backs were turned and they were lost in conversation to notice the van. I immediately ran toward the kids. They all noticed me and smiled at me waving.

When I didn't return the gesture, they frowned. They began to put their hands down, but the backseat driver rushed to grab one of the kids hands and tried to pull them in.

"No!" I yelled as I reached the kid in time to grab his other arm and wrapped a arm around his waist to try to pull him away. "You all get help from one of the houses, hurry!" I urged them as they all ran away from the car as I continued to basically play tug of war with them.

"(Y/N)!" I heard a familiar voice. I turned my head to see a familiar face running towards me.

"Brian! Help!" I held on longer I looked into the car to see three guys one driver, and two in the back. Both now pulling the crying kid into the car. Along with me. "Brian!"

"(Y/N)! No!" Brian had grabbed my forearm pulled me back. I winced in pain as I tried to keep my grip on this kid. The driver had began to pull away as Brian was pulled into the car. We were all pushed into the back of the van where the second guy followed. I held onto the kid as I hid his face into my chest. Much like a mother would do. As Brian wrapped his arms around me. Much like a husband would do.

"You little fucking brats." He said before raising his hand to punch one of us.

I closed my eyes to hear the smack of skin against Brian. I began to cry.

"You are just perverts. Trying to take a kid. But don't you worry. You'll be caught and sent to where you belong!" Brian said as he smirked. He chose not to exactly fight back. And for good reason. This kid was terrified. And so was I.

Like, how could he so sure?

Brian's POV

I smirked at the guy as he glared at me. He raised his fist to me as he lost his balance.

"What the hell are you doing?" He yelled back at the driver.

"There are cops man!" The driver swerved again making everyone grip something to keep straight.

"Shit!" They all said as they tried to out race the cops. But no use.
-

"You were very brave, (Y/N). You did the right thing. But you should have never put yourself in danger." The cop said to (Y/N) as she told him what had happened. He had told me earlier that they had gotten a call with a license plate number from a very antsy parent. Thank goodness they rushed.

I wrapped a arm around (Y/N) as she had finished talking with the little boys parents. Who thanked her like no tomorrow. Even the little boy.

"I think we might be a little late to hell." I laughed at her statement. "Then...why not come over to my place? I have games and food and all kinds of stuff. I should watch over you for a bit. I would hate to see you try to disappear again." I chuckled again as she nodded.

"Sounds like a plan. Lead the way good sir." She smiled at me as I got lost in her smile. I stared at her lips until I felt myself begin to most closer.

I placed my lips onto hers as she froze for a moment. But pushed hers onto mine as well.

We pulled away and I placed my forehead onto hers and shook my head. "Please promise to never try to disappear again?"

(Y/N) smiled and nodded. "If it means getting those more often I will gladly."

I laughed as I placed my lips on hers again.

"Of course."
