My eyes flitted open, and then closed shut. The ceiling was a bright white that strained my eyes. I felt a slight weight on my hand as I groaned, my body aching everywhere. I slowly opened my eyes and sighed, my head thumping as my neck strained as I moved my head to look down.

A blonde boy was holding my hand, half asleep as I looked around with bewilderment and feeling of tired. The boy opened his eyes as I got a glimpse of his beautiful blue eyes. He jumped up and stood up above me, and I felt intimidated by his tall figure, reaching well over 6 feet. I slid my hand out in confusion.

The boy either did not react to me removing my hand or kept his reaction to himself because he ran out and called a doctor, coming back with another man. He was wearing a white coat and grabbed a clipboard, standing up in front of me, significantly shorter than the blonde boy.

"So, how are you feeling Alexandria?" The doctor spoke with a kind yet firm, professional tone, no accents capable of distinguishing.

I looked around to the boy who reached for my hand again. I decided to let the boy as I felt safe in his hand, and I did not want to make either sad or mad. I looked back to the doctor with confusion scribbled all over my face, " A-Alexandria?" I asked, the boy's face sunk as the doctor shook his head, scribbling something down.

"Yes ma'am, that's your name-"

The boy interrupted, "But you like to be called Alex." I looked at him embarrassed as he leaned closer to me. "You love the left side of the bed, your eyes only show color when you are super happy or excited. You're tiny and fit into the palm of my hand. I love you even though you don't love me." He said the last one with remorse.

"B-but who are you?"

"You don't know how I am?" The boy said with a spark of hope in his eyes, as if hoping I'd remember, only to be crushed when I hesitantly shook my head.

The doctor kept talking but my eyes were not on him, my eyes were on the boy who walked away with his head hung low, his face in his hands as he shook his head slowly.

"Okay well Ms. O' Brien, you have had an accident on the road, what is the last thing you remember?" The doctor asked, tapping his pen on the clipboard.

I scrunched my nose in confusion, "I-I don't remember anything sir."

"Nothing?"

"With all due respect, I couldn't remember my own name." I said with a sarcastic tone.

"Well, you seemed to have had a child Ms. O'Brien."

My face bestowed a look of shock. A child? I'm a mom? How old am I? And more importantly, who is the father? And then it hit me.

"Had?"

The doctor spoke with a soft voice, "I'm sorry, but during the accident you had a miscarriage."

A man walked in, about early twenties and sat down in the seat the blonde boy was just in. He smiled, his blue eyes lighting up as he caught me looking a him. He was handsome, his hair a beautiful brown and his perfect white teeth were sparkling.

The doctor spoke as he pointed to the man who just came in, "This is Louis, he is here to take you home." I looked to the doctor and then to 'Louis'.

"H-home?"

"Yes love, we are going to go home." Louis smiled with a glint in his eye, a soft smile erupting on his face.

"B-but I don't know you Louis." I said with a bit of hesitance in my voice.

Louis just smiled bigger, leaning down a bit towards me, speaking, "I know this'll be difficult for you, but I'll help you, I promise I'll protect you love."

The doctor asked that I leave the medical dress on the bed so that they could get rid of it. Louis handed me clothes and stepped out to give me privacy. I examined the jeans with confusion. Since when did I buy black ripped jeans? And when did I ever own this sweater? I really remember nothing do I.

I opened the door, poking my head out to look for Louis. Louis was texting on his phone. I cleared my throat which got his attention, and he lifted his head to smile warmly at me. He put his phone away and stood up from leaning against the wall. He extended a hand as I looked at him hesitantly. He noticed it.

"Do you trust me?" He said, bending a little to be level with my height.

I scoffed, "Hey Aladin where's your flying carpet?" He laughed a beautiful laugh, his voice ringing in my ears in the best way possible.

"It's 2017 baby, we don't need carpets when we have cars," I felt my face flush at the word baby, the way it left his lips so gracefully.

"Yes," when he looked confused to what I said I added a couple of words, "Yes, I trust you, Louis."

We walked out and I got into the car, sitting on the passenger side as he walked around and got into his side.

"Louis," I spoke as he started the car. He turned to me awaiting my question.

"Who was the boy that came before you?"

Louis's eyebrows scrunched in confusion before quickly going to realization. If I didn't know any better I would've assumed there was a hint of anger masked onto his face. I shrugged, assuming I imagined it.

"That's Luke. He's bad news, stay away from him."

I made a confused face before shrugging and then asking, "Who was my baby's father? Before it... died."

Louis looked at me eerily and smiling saying, "Mine, the baby was mine."
