(if you are confused about how this chapter starts, remember when Alex and Louis went to the restaurant and had a little argument about who was he and why were they in this really empty home? If not, go reread chapter 7, it should help)

3rd POV

Alex and Louis arrived from the restaurant to the home in an uncomfortable silence. Well, it wasn't necessarily uncomfortable, but Alex was certainly tense. Louis seemed relaxed, seemed on ease. She shook her head and tried to relax; nothing even happened.

All she did was ask him who the hell was he in a hostile tone while embarrassing him in a restaurant, no biggie. That's not the truth she told herself. But Louis did admit that he was going to marry her.

And not only that he was going to marry her, they were on a vacation. A vacation and she constantly accused him of a liar. There was perfectly good explanation for everything that seemed wrong to her. Alex needed to calm down and breathe a little.

She sighed as Louis turned to face her. He gently placed a hand over one of the hands in her lap. He gently rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb, ghostly over the skin. She felt a shiver run down her back, but no doubt a good feeling.

She was no doubt shocked by the contact, but she relaxed a little as he patted it before removing his hand once again to drive the car. Alex felt a little more relaxed for sure as she looked at Louis with a small smile before returning her gaze outside.

How patient he must be, if he was still smiling and kind to her despite all the trouble she's caused him. Alex felt bad for sure; he was her boyfriend. No doubt did he want to do couple stuff with her, but he must be holding back for her.

Soon their home entered the girl's view as Louis parked the car in front of it. He got out as she did the same, walking up to the house. She patiently waited for Louis to open the door for her since she didn't herself have a key. He reached into his pocket and pulled out an array of keys, holding one specific one and fitting it into the door.

Alex took a moment, but she found the bedroom as she sat down on it, pulling her feet under the covers. She let her mind wander as random thoughts popped into her head. Exactly who was she?

"Can I come in?" Louis asked as he leaned against the doorway. How sweet he was, Alex thought, he was all about her consent. She smiled a little and nodded towards him as he slowly walked towards her.

"So," Louis said as he gently sat down on the bed next to the girl who was looking around the place with wild, childish eyes, as if she was just a child.

"Tell me something about me- about who I used to be," Alex asked softly as she curled up under the blanket, watching Louis who was sitting on top of the comforter.

"Well," Louis looked around thoughtfully, scooting closer to Alex in a subtle way that she didn't notice, "you were very hostile whenever you met someone. You really hated people with a passion. But as time grew on, you started to let me in. You let me past that thick skin." He said as he poked her arm playfully.

"What do we do now?" Alex asked softly as Louis looked around and shrugged.

"There is nothing much we can do now, can we? I guess we'll have to start over, from the beginning. A fresh start, if you will," Louis said with his eyes watering. He covered his face, "I'm sorry, I just-"

Alex widened her eyes before reaching to hug Louis, "Hey, it's okay." Louis wrapped his arms around her and smirked, knowing she couldn't see his face.

"I promise you, I will do everything I can to get it back to normal," Louis said softly as she nodded, watching his blue eyes look at her. He stood up and took off his shirt, opening one of the closets to grab a shirt.

Alex made a small squeak that Louis didn't fail to notice, but pretended he didn't hear it. His Calvin Klein peeked out a little as she found it hard to not look at him. Louis didn't once look back at Alex, but he knew she was watching him.

She looked away from him, not to stare as he turned around, smirking as he put his hands on his hips, "You know you can look right? We were doing much worse than just...getting me shirtless."

She turned red at the comment he made, knowing exactly what he suggesting. He smirked at how flustered she was as he put on the new shirt. Louis was slowly getting her exactly where he wanted her.

"I'm going to go sleep alright? There's another room so you have space," Louis said as he turned to face Alex. She immediately moved her eyes to his, rather than his body. She bit her lip and nodded.

He walked towards her and put a hand on her face, gently kissing her forehead. She closed her eyes momentarily as he pulled away, turning out of the room, closing the door after him.

Louis smirked and rubbed his hands and walked away, knowing his plan was going into effect.
