3rd POV

After 3 and a half hours of driving (since they made about a million pit stops at gas stations to either pee or eat), they finally arrived in front of their hotel. They sighed, pulling their car in the parking. As they got out, flashes went off as they immediately put smiles on their faces, trying to get past the paps as fast as possible. They all looked like shit they knew, but they just smiled and hoped it would be overlooked.

They went to the front of the reception and got the key card to their suite, immediately grabbing the map and the GPS. Everyone else laid down while Luke sat down, trying to figure out where Louis would be.

He stressed and stressed for an hour, little progress made. He's eliminated any hotels, because paps were always capable of finding where he was. He was seen near certains malls and restaurants, so he circled those areas and triangulated the possible areas he could be.

He had a range of maybe 30 miles on one side, 40 on the other, and 50 on the hypotenuse. It didn't sound like a lot but in reality that was 60 miles of ground to cover. Luke knew there was no way they could find her in that time. Even if they covered all that ground, she may go somewhere where they had already been, therefore completely rendering his idea useless.

Useless. He was useless.

He put his head on the table, knowing there was something there he was missing. He heard footsteps behind and turned to see Ashton who had come out of the shower and was sporting wet hair. He groaned, knowing that he was merely going to tell him to stop, like always.

Ashton took the pen from from Luke, and drew a line between 4 places they have been seen at, and circled about one fourth of the triangulated area. "They can only be here, the rest of the area is trash." He put the pen down as Luke looked at it shocked, bringing the map closer to him as if he was disbelieving.

He turned to Ashton, "Thank you."

He smiled, "You're welcome. Now let's go and eat some food, I am famished."

Alex walked next to Louis as he smiled, putting a hand in hers. She looked down at it before intertwining her fingers into his, watching his face light up. They walked past a restaurant as Alex looked in it. "Can we go in there?"

Louis nodded and they opened the door, walking in. They walked in as a waiter came up to them, about to show them a table.

Michael looked up and saw Louis. His mouth opened as he tapped Luke's shoulder slowly once, twice, before repeatedly tapping it. "Wha-" Michael slapped a hand over Luke's mouth and pointed shakingly in the direction of the two people.

Louis was lazily looking around until his eye caught the four boys. His mouth opened as he grabbed Alex and turned around. Luke acted on instinct, jumping up and running towards Alex, pulling her by the arm.

"Alex," he sighed, wrapping his arms around her. He felt her tense and he pulled her away to look at her face. She didn't like him, Louis said he was a bad person. But how could someone like him be a bad person?

"Luke, stay away from her," Louis growled as he pulled Alex away. She felt safe with him but scared. He was so angry, it scared her. Luke growled back as a kid with colorful hair pulled Luke back.

"Luke don't get us in trouble, there are paps outside," Michael mumbled as Luke reluctantly pulled away from the boy.

"Alex," he begged, hoping the girl would listen to him, "Alex let me talk to you please."

"I-"

"Alex and I have to go. Luke, Michael," Louis said as Alex was tugged away from Luke. She hesitantly looked back at him, her eyes softening at his features, the begging. She just wanted to go and hug him; he looked like he was going to cry.

Louis needs to have an answer to this.

When they got in Louis' car, she asked him bluntly, "Who's Luke, really?"

Louis looked at her, sighing but not answering.

"Louis. Who is Luke. What aren't you telling me?" He sighed and turned away from the road to the shoulder so he could give her his full attention.

"Okay. I didn't want to tell you this but Luke and you went to school together. In 7th grade you rejected him for prom, and so he flipped out. About a couple of years ago, he and you got together; you didn't remember him from school. You fell in love and he took your virginity. Then, he left."

Her eyes filled with tears. That was impossible. She was saving herself for the person she was going to marry. He took the most precious thing from her.

Louis continued, "He was also the person who hit you with a car." Alex's jaw dropped. He was trying to get rid of the girl's baby, on purpose.

"But he came to visit me in the hospital? He looked sad at the restaurant. How do you explain that?" She asked, crossing her arms. Louis put his hand on the back of her seat and leaned towards her.

"Luke is a manipulative, sick human being. He is a pathological liar Alex. He wants you to feel bad for him. He's just," Louis sighed once again and put his head in his hands. He smiled a little in his hands. The girl believed him, too easily. Who lets a complete stranger take them from the hospital to live with them?

He recovered his blank face and looked up to the girl with sad eyes, "Promise to stay away from him. Promise me."

Alex looked at the boy, completely trusting him, "I trust you."
