Chapter 11
"Hey! Wake up! Alexis! Wake up!!!"
My eyes fluttered open slowly and I glanced from left to right before straight ahead. I tilted my head to the right in confusion about the current situation. Naruto and Sakura both wore glares and irk marks. I rose an eyebrow "What's up?" "What's up!?" I covered my ears "Quiet down. Why're you so pissed off?"
He 'humphed' and turn to the side, arms crossed over his chest. "You missed, Sasuke's, Naruto's, Sakura's and some other's matches" My eyes widened slightly "Seriously? I missed them?.. Oh well" Sakura bonked me on the head "Oh well? Didn't you want to cheer for us?" I shrugged my shoulders lazily and stood up, yawning.
"I know what happened anyway. Sasuke won against the sound ninja, Naruto won against Kiba and Sakura tied with Ino" They stared at me agape. "How do you know that? You were asleep" I rolled my eyes and deadpanned "I've said it before, I'll say it again. I.Know.Everything! Now, who's match is next?"
They both looked at each other, before hanging their heads with a deep sigh. "It's Lee and Gaar's fight" "..I missed that much!?" I wined. From behind, Dante chuckled. I turned to him with a 'what?' look. He shook his head "Nothing" "Ya know.. you could've waken me up. I really wanted to watch Neji and Hinata's fight"
Naruto and Sakura gasped. "How did you know" I anime fell and facepalmed. "Didn't you listen to anything I was saying!?" "Alexis, I see you finally awake" Turning around, I came face to chest with a Kakashi Hatake. "Hey Kakashi" I grumbled and took a step backwards. 'Too close for my liking'
I stared him in the eyes, all serious "How's Sasuke doing? Did you.. seal it?" I whispered the last part so Naruto and Sakura wouldn't hear me. He nodded slowly, probably wondering how I knew. "He's fine, at the hospital right now" I nodded and sighed in relief. Kakashi chuckled evilly "What?" "You seem pretty worried about Sasuke" I glared at him to shut the hell up "I'm not worried" "Yeh.. keep on telling yourself that" Ignoring him, I went back to watching the final match.
As the match went on, I kind of zoned out. I knew what would happen and really didn't want to watch it over again, even if it was first hand. When Gaara was declared the winner, the Hokage told all of the winners to go down to the bottom level.
We all stood in a line and pieces of paper with numbers on them were handed out. I got the number 4, meaning I would be fighting Dosu. But, he dies, so.. 'who would I actually be fighting?' Was what I wondered to myself. The Hokage announced that we'd have exactly one month until the final exam. After that, we left and I went straight to the hospital, towards Sasuke's room.
Ignoring the passed out ANBU, I opened the door, only to come face to face with Kabuto and Kakashi. I rose an eyebrow and cleared my throat "Hey.. your not supposed to be fighting in hospitals" Kabuto smirked at me "Well, Yas-" "Don't" He chuckled and gave a nod "Fine, I can see you don't want anyone to know yet. But, be aware that Orochimaru will come for you soon" I rolled my eyes and watched as an ANBU got up from the ground and jumped through the window.
Kakashi made his way over to the now broken window and glanced down at Kabuto. He smirked and disappeared from our sights. I sighed "That was annoying" Kakashi turned back around to face me and gave me a confused, yet serious, look. "What did he mean by - 'you don't want anyone to know yet'?" I shrugged "It's what it sounds like. I don't want anyone to know..yet..maybe.." I trailed off.
He sweatdropped and walked back over to Sasuke "Here to see Sasuke are you?" I glared at the back of his head "Actually, I am" He seemed surprised that i'd just admitted that "I wanted to ask him where he lives" I deadpanned "But.. he's not awake. So, I guess I'll be sleeping outside for the night" I sighed and began walking away when a voice stopped me "Stay at mine for the night" I shook my head - no.
