I shouldn't expect you to surprise me with a bouquet of roses on my birthday nor a hot make out session on Valentine's Day.
Because that's just not you, you were never one to go all out to show me that you love me.
I had to watch out for the little things you did, like scooping food into my plate because I'm a messy eater and reaching for my hand under the table.
I had to treasure the notes we wrote back and forth and your whispered compliments.
And I won't forget your stolen glances at me.
I will forever cherish our time together, because eventhough for universe is not on our side, I am.
