I caught you.

You were looking at me, your eyes watching me intently.

I was looking at everybody else.

But then I turned around, only to see your eyes widden.

You flushed and looked away.

So did I.

And it kept happening, again and again and again.

It became like a game between the two of us.

The rules were to try not to get caught.

But your attempts failed because I caught you

every

single

time.

If only I could catch your heart that way as well.

Maybe in time I will.

Hopefully your feelings will deepen soon.

The boy was ever so overwhelmed by the new environment. He was running, late for art class. His surroundings turned a blur as he ran for the other side of the campus. In the middle of being so caught up on not being late, he bumped into something, or rather someone. It was a girl about his age. In one swift move, he caught her slim body. If it weren't for his smooth catch she would've been fragments on the floor.

He could not help but compare her to Faith. He could not help but compare any girl to Faith. It was stupid, but it felt like his mind was programmed to think of Faith.

The girl's hair was many times lighter than Faith's and she was many times thinner than Faith too. Her eyes were a light but noticable blue and her lips were sweet and cherry pink. She was very pretty. He then realized that he'd been staring at her for too long for comfort and started to apologize.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay." She smiled and gave a little giggle. Her voice was extremely high but sweet.

"Uh, well I'm on my way to Art, I don't want to be late. I'm sorry but I have to go. See you around- uh..." He didn't know her name.

"Hope. That's my name. I know right? It's really weird. My parents are into names like that. My younger sister is called Charity. I'm sorry if I'm weirding you out." The boy noticed that the girl was the chatty kind. 

"No, you're fine. And I like your name. It reminds me of someone back in highschool."

"It does?"

"Yeah, her name's Faith."
