The 30 Questions' Game (Camren)

Chapter 7

The following morning Lauren woke up at 7:00 am.She was feeling really weak because she skipped dinner last night. She was too upset to eat so she just had a cold shower and went to sleep.

She was now eating a bowl of cereals with milk in the kitchen, even though she found that really childish she still ate it anyways.

Her parents already went to work and that was a good thing for Lauren knowing that she wouldn't have to tell her parents why she didn't eat dinner last night.

After she finished eating she went upstairs in her room to get ready for school. She really didn't want to go today. Maybe the fact that Karla would be there in the same room, made everything more upsetting.

She wanted to clear everything up with Karla. 

She decided to wear some black jeans,a t-shirt, a shirt on top of it and her favourite vans' shoes.

She then went in the toilet and did all her morning routine, she decided to wear some make up, which that consisted in mascara,eyeliner and red lipstick.She quickly did her hair in a ponytail.

As she went back in her room, she took her bag and put it over her shoulders. She went downstairs and took her keys and phone to then get out the house, as she was walking to school she took out her earphones and listened to music. 

She looked at her watch.7:30. 

Fifteen minutes passed and Lauren already arrived  to school.She was now wondering what she could do before the lessons started knowing that her best friend wasn't in school.Karla was angry at her and she wasn't really a social person with the other students.If she ever had to speak to the other students, she would do it but she preferred being with her best friend,Normani.

She went up to her locker and opened it to take out some books that she'll later need.

She went to her class even though there were still 10 minutes till her first class.

She sat down on her seat and put her bag on the desk,she then rested her head on it.She sighed.What was more boring than sitting on a school's chair waiting for something to happen?

She looked at the desk next to hers, Normani's desk, and sighed heavily.She really wanted her friend to be there.

After some time, maybe five minutes, a girl came in. That girl. That same girl Lauren had her eyes on from a long time. That girl was called Camila.

When the girl entered the class,she briefly looked at Luren.Maybe she wasn't expecting anyone in the class.

Lauren was asking herself why Camila wasn't with her friends.Usually,they would always be together,laughing and making some jokes.

The girl went to her seat on the opposite side of the class and sat down.

Lauren felt a bit uncomfortable,knowing that in the class there were only her crush and her.

She sighed really loudly.

Camila noticed the girl's nervousness and maybe to make her feel a bit better she spoke to her.

"Are you nervous?"She asked.

Lauren was so absorbed in her thoughts that she didn't hear the petite girl's question.

"Umh?Sorry,what did you say?"Lauren asked confused

Why did Camila speak to her?They weren't friends,They only greeted each other once or twice.

"I asked you if you were nervous"Camila said.

"What makes you think that?"Lauren awkwardly laughed.

"Well... maybe the fact that you were sighing every five seconds and also the fact that you keep tapping your fingers on the desk"She said smiling.Camila pointed at lauren's fingers and giggled softly.

Lauren looked at her fingers and stopped tapping them on the desk and smiled.She wasnt't sure if she was smiling because Camila said that she was basically acting like a nervous wreck or if she was smiling at the sound of Camila's cute giggle.

"I'm not nervous.I'm just really bored"She explained.

"You're friend's not in?"She asked.

"No.She left for Miami yesterday after school and she'll come back in three days"She said.

"I'm really sorry.If you want, I can keep you company.Only if you want."She smiled.

"Yeah sure, no problem.Just know that I'm in a really bad mood."

Camila stood up and started to walk over Lauren's seat."And why,if i may ask?Problems with your boyfriend?"

"Boyfriend?I never had one. I like girls. Well, i like boys too but i prefer girls"She started to laugh hysterically."But no,it's about my friend Karla. We had an argument yesterday and at the end she stopped texting me, ignoring my texts.I don't get why she reacted like that. She got angry in any moment.You see,our friendship is different from the others. I don't know who she is..."She said but she was suddenly stopped.

"Woah,wait, what do you mean you do know who she is?"She asked curiously sitting down next to Lauren.

"Well,everything started some days ago when I  first received a text from an unknown number. The text was asking me if i wanted to play a "game".In the game I am supposed to ask Karla a question each day and she'll answer it.But she can only do one question in this whole month.And she told me she'll do hers on the last day.I always asked her questions but i don't know why but she got mad last night."She told Camila.

The girl was now looking at her."Okay.I don't even know why i told you all of that.You are maybe thinking that i'm a crazy person with some mental issues."Lauren said.

"No!I would never think something like that about you.Everyone has their own lives and who i am to judge you?I actually quite like that idea. It's brilliant."She said shrugging.

"It might be.But that doesn't solve the fact that we argued"She said sadly.

"I'm sure you guys will fix everything"She reassured her.

"I don't think that will be easy.I don't even know what I did wrong!"She said angrily.

"Hey,It's going to be okay"She said gently stroking Lauren's back.

"Maybe she'll realise the mistake she did and at the end of the day she'll apologise."She smiled.

"I really hope so.I really miss talking to her.I simply miss her.I know it's really stupid because we started texting each other five days ago."Lauren hugged Camila instinctively.

"I undertstand.Come on,give me one of your best smiles.I'm sure everything will be alright!"She said smiling.

"A wonderful smile"Lauren thought.

"Thank you,Camila"She smiled.

"Don't mention it.It was really nice talking to you.Is it alright if I keep you company until your friend comes back?"She asked.

"Yes please.I feel really lonely without Normani!"She begged.

"Okay,I'll just go and get my stuff and then I'll sit next to you"She softly giggled.

Meantime,the bell rang and some students were entering the class.

"Why aren't you with your friends today?Usually,you're always with them"Lauren asked looking at Camila.

"I didn't want to be around them today"She said shrugging.

"Oh,okay"

"Guys,be quiet so that i can start the lesson"The teacher said trying to get the students' attention.

When everyone was quiet, the teacher started her history lesson.
