The 30 Questions' Game (Camren)

Chapter 32

Wednesday. It was Wednesday morning.

"There are only three days left"Lauren thought while she was walking through the school's corridors.

She snapped when she felt her phone vibrate in her back pocket.

Karla:"i see you're kinda worried"

It was true. She exactly knew how the green eyed girl wss feeling.

The brunette looked around and as always she found noone from her group of friends.

Lauren:"everything is fine :)"

She tried to convince her, well mostly herself. She didn't know why,but as she got closer to the last day she felt more at pressure. Maybe she still wasn't ready to find out who Karla really was, but deep down she was waiting for that day from nearly a month now. She only had to have courage and face the reality.

Once again she was snapped back in reality when she felt her phone vibrate.

Karla:"i don't believe you. Ive never seen you like this"

Lauren:"i'm just a bit overwhelmed"

Karla:"i don't get it"

Lauren opened her locker and took out some books she'll need later on.

As she was reading Karla's text a voice greeted the brunette.

"Heyyy"Normani greeted her.

"Hey"Lauren said looking at the older girl.

"Is everything alright?"Normani asked.

"Umh yeah. Everything is perfect, why are you asking me?"She asked.

"It seems that you have your head in the clouds"she stated.

"Me? Nah i'm exactly where i'm supposed to be. Here at school ready to go to my maths lesson"Lauren smiled waving her book.

"It's a shame you took the wrong book. That one is your history book."Normani pointed.

"What? Oh right" she looked at it "history"She smiled embarrassed. "Pft it's no big deal.They're the same thing."She said putting her histroy book inside and taking out the correct one.

"Yeah, they're the same"Normani mocked her."Listen, are you sure you're okay?"She asked once again.

"Yeah"Lauren nodded."No... i'm not okay"She corrected herself.

"Do you wanna talk about it?"She asked nicely, stroking the younger girl's back.

Lauren nodded "Well, i'm a bit worried for Saturday"She confessed.

"Saturday?"Normani asked confused.

"It's the last day of the game"She cleared.

"Oh yeah right.The game."She nodded. "What's making you so worried ?"She asked.

"Remaining disappointed or to disappoint Karla"She said glancing at the ground.

"Disappointed?"Normani asked.

"I would like Karla to be one person but i think i'm wrong"She shook her head still looking at the floor.

"I understand. Well, i hope everything will be alright"Normani said hugging her best friend tightly.

"Thanks"Lauren smiled,

"Shall we go to class?"Normani asked 

After Lauren nodded they started to walk towards their class.

Karla:"I'm getting worried"

Lauren jumped when her phone vibrated on her lap.She read the text. From all the confusion that was in her mind she forgot to text back Karla.
