As Moana's father is speaking she wanders of onto the shore . Randomly , a beautiful sea shell appears near where Moana is standing . While she is about to pick up the shell she discovers birds being rude to a turtle . Moana decides to pick a huge leaf from the tree to lead to little turtle into the ocean , with protection from the birds . The ocean splits ocean with the same sea shell , this time she grabs it . After Moana picks up the one sea shell the ocean splits more to reveal two more shells . She also picks up those shells too . In the ocean Moana has seen Te Fiti's heart , she picks it up but drops it when she hears her father calling her . The ocean immediately leads her back to shore . When she arrives back to the shore , Chief says worriedly , " There you are Moana , what are you doing ? , you scared me ." "I wanna go back ", Moana cries . " I know , I know but you don't go out there , it's dangerous " Moana stares back at the ocean refusing to go . After this Moana and chief returned back to the village along with everyone else .
