Skyla: Sorry for the long update. Somehow, my chapter accidentally got deleted when it was still in the making, so I had to start all over again.

Red: It may not look like it, but she was on the verge of crying.

Skyla: *Karate chops his arm* Anyhoo, I'll try and remember most of the story.

Black: You better get started, and hurry! I don't wanna act again!

Skyla: Fine. EVERYBODY! Positions ready? And...ACTION!!

Green paced the room of his grandfather's office, while everybody else was sitting on the floor. The door opened, and Professor Oak stepped in. Gary stopped. "Well?" he asked. The professor sighed. "The bus's engine has been tampered with," he told them. "If there had been anymore people around when it happened, someone might've gotten hurt or even killed."

"Then we were lucky," Dawn said. "But why would anyone do such a thing?" Silver asked. "I don't know," Professor Oak admitted. "I can't think of anybody who would hold a grudge against the academy." Out of the corner of her eye, Blue saw Travis and Skyla exchange worried looks. "We had better be careful from now on," Gold said. "Right, you are dismissed," the professor said. As they turned to leave, he added,"And for Arceus's sake, don't tell anybody about this!"

Once the dexholders made it out into the hallway, they broke into worried chatter. "What are we gonna do now?" Soul asked worriedly. "Why, do what we always do, of course!" Cilan answered. "And what would that be?" Green said dryly. "We're going to get to the bottom of this mystery!" Cilan declared, eyes shining. "Oh, no!" Iris groaned. "Don't tell me it's time for Conessuier Detective Cilan!"

"Um, let's just leave it to the professionals for now," Travis cut in quickly. "At the moment, let's promise to not go anywhere alone," Skyla added. The others were confused, but agreed to this. "Good," Mark sighed with relief. "So...what do we do now?" Misty asked. Cypress glanced at the clock. "The welcoming party should still be going on," he said. "Why don't we go there?" Everyone agreed and headed down the hall to the plaza when Skyla stopped.

"Wait, I'm gonna change into my normal clothes first, 'kay?" she said. "I'll meet you guys there!" Skyla turned and rushed the other way. "HEY! What happened to sticking together?" Drew hollered after her. But it was too late, as she had already turned the corner, out of earshot. "Don't worry, she'll be fine," Mark said. "Okay, if you say so," Yellow said, and they continued on their way.

When they had reached the plaza, a blur suddenly popped up in front of them. "Hey!" Skyla greeted. "Eeep!" Dawn screamed. "Whoops, sorry," Skyla said sheepishly. "How'd you get here so quick?" Red asked. "I'm just really fast!" Skyla said airily. "Now c'mon, let's go!" She walked into the throng of people with Mark, Travis, and Cypress following her. However, the dexholders stayed where they were.

"They're doing it again," Pearl complained. "Doing what?" May asked. "Hiding things from us," Dia answered. "This is just one thing we have to figure out," Green said determinedly. "Oh sure, but for now let's enjoy the party!" Blue squealed. The others shrugged. If Blue was going to drag them into something, then there was no way of getting out of it.

As they all mingled with the other students, no one saw a certain blue-eyed brunette slip away from the crowd.

And not one person saw the three shadowy figures in the corner, waiting to following her.
