"How about this?"
"No."
"Uh... this?"
"Absolutely not."
"This one?"
"That's horrible."
"Oh c'mon! It's a classic."
"No! Next."
"Maybe this?"
"Are you even trying?"
"Kurt, I give up." I sighed, out of hope.
Kurt and I were in a music store searching for the perfect song to do for the duets competition, but we couldn't decide on anything.
"I appreciate your attempts at trying to please my musical standards but I'm very picky. I'm sorry." Kurt apologized. "The song will come to us when we won't even know it."
"But we need it now," I groaned. "I don't want to choose a song last minute."
My eyes wandered around the store searching for inspiration and suddenly my gaze landed on a familiar four string instrument; the ukulele. I learned how to play from my grandma but suddenly grew out of playing. I ended up selling my ukulele when I was fourteen and have regretted it until this day.
"That ukulele is calling my name, I want it." I announced.
"Can you even play?" Kurt laughed.
"Yes! My grandma used to teach me but I still remember some stuff." I smiled, proud of myself.
"Well if you have the money, do it girl." Kurt encouraged me. "Maybe you could play ukulele for our duet."
I turned to Kurt, with a huge smile plastered over my face. "You just gave me the best idea."
"What is it?" He asked.
I grabbed the ukulele off it's stand, "You'll see." I grinned. We both walked to the counter to pay for the beautiful, eye catching ukulele.

Kurt and I both sat on my bed, our legs crossed while going over sheet music I printed off the internet. My ukulele rested in my lap as I studied the freshly printed paper.
"Tonight you belong to- Oh my god!" Kurt read out loud from the paper. "Arabella!! This is one of my favourite songs."
"It's mine too! It was played on a ukulele in 'The Jerk' which is totally a 70's classic." I grinned. "We are going to kill the duets competition."
