"Pro-Hunter?" Edward Elric glanced over to his brother, then snickered, "Then I'm a pro-Alchemist."
Killua hit his face with the palm of his hand, he thinks he's hilarious, he eyed the little brother who was also laughing.
He smirked.
"It's weird that your younger brother is taller than you," Killua quirked his head to the side, putting a finger to his chin, all the while maintaining eye contact with the Fullmetal Alchemist.
The blond's hair stood on end, "Did..." he jumped from his seat, and went from the ground to the table in an instant, "You dare call me short!? A chibi!? Shrimp!? Tiny!?-" he continued to ramble on spewing other nicknames you would call a short person.
Killua sat there bemused at the reaction he caused. Al waved his hands about telling his aniki to calm down.
These Baka.
"Any other questions?"
Ed stopped his so-called rant, and sat back down again, "What're you looking for?"
Killua narrowed his eyes, he seemed to be doing that a lot more lately, "I heard of something that seems cool."
"Like what exactly? Specifically," his heart felt heavy, if it was what he thought it was...
They seem to know more than they let on, Killua thought, and, it seems like it's not something they'd want to share, "I heard that certain types of automail can make you stronger," I saw an ad in that one shop in Youswell, it would've been cooler if they shot out ninja stars instead of bullets...
"I see," Alphonse inspected, "But you have all you limbs in tact, so you wouldn't-"
"-I can change that," instantly, his pale fingers turned into deadly sharp weapons, "Pain is nothing."
Edward clenched his jaw, "What would you know?" He balled his automail fist.
Killua sighed, "I guess I wouldn't," I don't really feel like telling these people what my family actually does, I'd end up in jail for being dangerous.
Alphonse sighed, "Nii-san, now's not the time to fight with him- you can do that later."
"Hey!" Killua slouched in his chair, and crossed his arms.
"We have to start what Roy Mustang wanted us to do, remember?" Al looked at his brother.
Edward peeked at him, then nodded, "Ya, let's go."
"Where?"
"We're on the lookout for some people, Killua," Ed slung his coat over his one shoulder and looked back, "People nobody would ever want to come into contact with."
"Hmm, interesting."
^^^^^^^^^
I had been excited for hunting criminals, but turns out we're staying in Central, and that's all the info these two Baka gave me, his blue eyes examined the boys beside him, they both were equipped with binoculars.
"Find anything yet, Al?"
The armor shook his head, "Uh-uh, nii-san."
Killua rolled his eyes, he didn't even know what he was supposed to be watching out for, he took a breath, then let it out of in a huff, "Do you know anything about fugitives?"
Ed whipped his head toward Killua, shushing him, "Fug- oh right, yes," He furrowed his eyebrows, "These criminals are incredibly sly, anything is possible." Plus, Edward thought, this is the last place they were spotted.
"If they went into hiding, then they'd be in some type of secluded area, or in a building not many frequent," Killua examined underneath his nails, I didn't run away from my family without touching up on some stuff, I'm not stupid.
Alphonse looked between the two, and scratched his head, though was an entirely instinctive movement, "Hmm, we're going to have to start right away then," he acknowledged that there may be a ton of places where the people they're after could hide.
Killua allowed himself to relax ever so slightly, only to feel for any presences, like he would ever relax for real when he was on the run.
He closed his eyes, and took a deep breath, he sent out his nen as a feeler.
Blue connected with honey eyes, "Something's close."
~~~~~~
Edward rubbed his head and sighed, "Next time you say that," He glared at Killua, "Make sure it's not Winry."
Killua shrugged, "There was a lot of darkness that I felt."
"That's because Ed didn't tell me that he wasn't going to be in his room, when I specifically said that I would arrive today," Winry held up a wrench, and waved it at Killua, trying to intimidate him.
If you knew Bisky, you would know that you're nothing but a harmless mouse, Killua rolled his eyes, "Nothing is clear when others don't have nen."
"What?" Alphonse questioned, he came around the table and stood next to the foreigner.
"Che," Killua spat, "I really have to be careful on what I spew," he mumbled to himself.
Ed clued in as well, leaving Winry out of the loop as per usual, "Nen was it?"
Killua looked at the State Alchemist, "Ya, it's just a special technique that Hunters have to use, no big deal," he was telling a partial truth of course, The ex-assassin didn't exactly want them to know too much about him, he couldn't afford to expose more of his identity- or ability in this case.
He noticed that Winry was covered in oil, he grinned, "You work with Automail?"
Edward and Alphonse scrabbled to try and cover up the question Killua had asked, but it was too late; no one could stop Winry from talking about her passion.^•^•^•^•^•^•^•^•^•^•^
