Ed stretched from side to side, getting ready for his first fight.
His opponent was a scrawny guy with some boxing gloves.
Edward chuckled, "Skinny much, roadkill?"
The man narrowed his eyes, assessing Ed Elric, he then smiled, but it wasn't a pretty smile either, it was one of those toothless rotting teeth smiles that people who haven't brushed their teeth in a while have.
Edward grimaced slightly at the sight.
"Yer pretty short yerself, pipsqueak," his voice was harsh and unkind, "How 'bout ya quit now?"
Edward laughed, "Did ya just call me short?" His golden eyes grew angrier by the moment.
Little did Ed's opponent know, but, he just had given fuel to an ever-burning small fire.
"Start!"
The scrawny man ran towards Edward with a speed that caught him off-guard. But he dodged the right hook and punched his opponent in the gut.
He stumbled back, allowing for Ed to straighten up and drag his right fist across the guy's face and knock him to the ground.
The ref grabbed Ed's wrist at that moment and raised it in the air, "Winner! Edward Elric!"
Ed snickered, "Shows him right."
He met his younger brother and Killua in the lobby soon after he was told to go to floor 50.
"Ya, I told them to put me to 50 too," Killua said in the elevator, "Since I've been here before they wanted to put me a lot higher." Like to the top.
"Oh cool!" Alphonse exclaimed, he too was sent to 50, after his giant opponent tried to knock him unconscious with a punch to the head, Al then just kicked him out of the ring.
Killua half-smiled, "Well it looks like we'll make fast money."
Edward nodded, thinking back to what Wing-san had said, then shook it off. Be knew that trying to find out more from Killua was useless.
They didn't listen to what the lady was saying since Killua had already explained all the rules.
"So," Edward started, "We're only staying for a few days?"
Killua swayed his head back and forth, "Hmm, I guess that should be enough time."
"Should we go now? To register for a fight so then we can just go go go for three days?" Alphonse asked while they were watching a fight in the arena.
"That would be best," Killua crossed his arms; sitting back, he had activated gyo, "The little kid is going to win."
"How do you know that?" Alphonse stared closer.
Killua pointed to his eyes, "I can see their nen, that old man barely has any, whereas that boy looks to have been training for a while..." his voice trailed off, "Is that..?"
Edward looked to the boy now too, Zushi?
"Zushi!!" Killua stood up and started waving his hands about, "Go! You got this! No! Don't look over here!!"
*^*^*^*
"Awe man..." A little boy with brown hair mumbled, scratching his head.
Killua put his hands together, apologizing, "Gomen, Zushi!"
"You must never get distracted, Zushi," Wing-san instructed.
Edward was ignored by Wing, Must be because Wing-san wasn't supposed to tell me anything, he thought.
Zushi grinned at Killua, "I've gotten stronger, see?" He pointed to the floor sign, "Floor 90!"
Killua laughed, "You sure have," he nudged Ed, "But we're gonna be to floor 99 by the day after tomorrow, aren't we?"
Alphonse humbly answered, "Well... aha, maybe..."
Zushi didn't look Al's way, Edward figured that he was scared of his little brother's size. His eye twitched.
"Off to see Leorio after?"
Killua spun his head to Wing-san, giving a warning glare, "I'd stop now Wing-san, before they come after you too."
Edward and Zushi felt a chill run down their spine but before they could pinpoint what feeling it was of, Killua turned back to them with a grin, "Wanna go fight now?"
Alphonse laughed quietly, "Sure," he waved goodbye and bowed, "It was nice meeting you!"
Ed waved over his shoulder, then whispered to Killua, "Who's Leorio?"
Killua shrugged, "Dunno what he was talking about."
Edward narrowed his eyes.
Killua made eye-contact and sighed, "Fine, he's a good friend of mine, and-"
"You have friends?" Edward snickered.
"Yes," Killua rolled his eyes, "He's taking care of my sister for me."
"Ohhh," Alphonse clued in, "So we have to go to his house."
"No," Killua said, "We're meeting him somewhere safer," they reached the desk where they had to register, "Can't risk them finding out-- can I register? Ya."
Killua knew things were going too smoothly, but he ignored the unpleasant feeling of being watched. He knew that they wouldn't do anything until they saw his sister
He clenched his jaw, They won't take her from me.
