(Jeffrey's POV)
It was about half an hour after school, I was helping a few teachers with paperwork, since it was near Spring Break. It was pouring heavily outside due to the spring air, luckily I didn't forget to bring my umbrella and had it securely in my hand as I Walk The Halls to the front entrance, making my way (DOWNTOWN WALKING FAST THIS SONG IS OLD I'M GOING TO STOP NOW DODODODODOD) past the cafeteria area slowly approaching the door, soon seeing the two large pieces of wood meant to keep things in and out. I slowly push the doors open to be greeted with the potent smell of rain and slight Thunder in the distance indicating there is going to be lightning connecting the earth and the heavens, all of my attention was brought away when I looked by my side to see a small black haired boy standing underneath the small hangover that separated the harsh rain and the stairs connected to the school. I know exactly who this boy was Zane Ro'meave, a boy who doesn't socialize much with others and is quite rude to anyone other than the shadow Knights, whom bully him on a constant basis, but it always goes over his head,
He wasn't a bad kid I think he's just misguided and always striving to have a different kind of Spotlight due to his brother being one of the most popular boys in school and his younger brother being a prodigy. I cleared my throat indicating my presence he turned to me with a surprised look at first, which then slowly shifted to a face of disgust as far as I can see due to him wearing a mask constantly as well as hiding his right eye, I've always been curious as to what he's hiding, the only things you can see from the boy was that he had black onyx hair, a piercing icy blue eye it seems harsh but sometimes filled with childish Wonder as I seen every time he's near the shadow Knights, he had two piercing above and below his one showing eyebrow, his frame is quite small at 5 foot 5 and feminine like honestly if you put him in a females outfit he would look perfectly like a lady, his nails were painted black which stood out on his pale milky skin, his voice cute and stuffy as if a child was speaking to you.
"What are you doing out here in the cold rain, shouldn't you be at home right now?"
I asked in a calm and concerning voice
"None of your business Shakespeare, now leave me alone"
his small stuffy voice filled with annoyance directed towards me.
"oh come on now Zane it's quite cold out you should be at home, why are you standing out here when you can clearly get a cold?"I asked him again of course me and him don't have the greatest of relationships, but I'm always concerned for everyone, especially someone who has no one to talk to. He sighed
"my brother was supposed to drive me home today but he decided to go with Laurence instead, leaving me out here in the rain, so now I'm waiting for my mom but she said she'll take a long time since she's downtown right now and garroth won't pick up his phone"he said to me in a small saddening voice but he hid quite well under his annoyance, I couldn't help but feel angry and sad at the same time, how could is Blood Brother leave him out in the pouring rain, I then got an idea looking down at my umbrella,
"Would you care to join me, I Could Walk You Home Instead, I don't want you getting sick cuz if you do then you're not going to come to school and now that's not very good on your clean reputation".
She looked at me surprised "n-no I can wait, you just go home or w-whatever"he stuttered a little which I can help but feel the super cute.... Wait cute, of course Zane doesn't have any bad qualities none that he is completely in control of, and he can overall be a good person at times but, I never thought I would like him I guess all the signs are there why am I now just realizing this, uggg 'GoldenHeart you idiot, go back to helping out your future husband'my inner voice told me making the blood rush to my cheeks."it's alright Zane I don't mind, it must really suck to have been left like this and I don't want you to be sitting out here in the gloomy rain making you more emo"I say to him chuckling a little at the last part of my sentence, he just glared at me and huffed stepping closer to me"f-fine whatever, just don't get too close to me"he grumbled a little bit going beside me as I opened my umbrella watching it burst out with small spider like legs spreading out from the center holding the plastic fabric together." I make no promises Ro'meave"
I say as we descend down the stairs, the harsh patterning of raindrops on top of the fabric above, I hear him give out a small squeak which I found super adorable, and he seem to be blushing quite harshly under his mask his ears gave it away unfortunately for him.
This was going to be quite the interesting walk, I can't wait to see how this plays out
