I drag my heel clad feet across the floor with the now dull music playing in the background. I breath a sigh of relief as I dodge people out of my way successfully without having to have another embarrassing moment.

I look around, trying to find the stairs leading to the exclusive lounges and spot a round staircase with two bouncers flanking it.

And how in the world am I going to get pass them?!

I thought with a groan and tried to work my brain into forming a plan. Maybe I should just go with it. Like let's just go over there without a plan as if going with the flow. But just then an amazing idea hit me. I quickly dig out my phone from my clutch and look for his number.

I smile when I find it and dial it up. I bit my lip and held my breath while waiting for Wyatt to pick up his phone. I almost cry in frustration when he doesn't pick up his completely and utterly purpose less phone.

I blow an irritated breath out of my mouth as I look over my only option. Run as fast as you can.

I gulp before making my way over and the two bouncer immediately cover the f**king entrance as if I am a mentally screwed criminal on run!

"Can you move over?" I try to make myself sound very polite and even bat my eyelashes with a sweet and sexy smile playing on my lips. This has to work no matter what.

"Sorry but this lounge is exclusive" the bouncer replies back with a bored expression imprinted on his face. The other one keeps his eyes off me as if I didn't exist.

"Oh yeah of course I know that this lounge is exclusive but...." I racked my brain to come up with the perfect lie but the only thing that my stupid brain could conjure up was an equally stupid idea. Run till you lose them.

"I-" My voice get's cut off when I watch two guys stumble towards where we were standing momentarily catching the both bouncers off guard. That's your cue, Idiot.

I ran past those two bouncers dodging their long arms reaching for me. I cry out in aggravation as throw my heels in the attempt to amp up my speed. I have been running quiet a lot since these past few days and all I want now is a long break.

I take two steps at a time and appreciate my long legs for they were able to keep up the speed or I would have been long caught. One of the bouncer stays behind to handle the two drunk guys trying to get in and I watch in horror as the two guys are knocked out with a single steel punch from the bouncer.

Oh no. I don't even want to know what they will do to me if they catch me. I will my legs to move faster and finally reach the second floor where there was a black door completed with red ropes and a pristine red velvet carpet. What the hell is this?! What are these people? Royalties for Christ's sake?!

But my body immediately quakes back in fear as I watch another two bouncers patrolling the entrance. Just then I feel a cold hand snake around my arm in a vice like grip. I recoil back and gasp when the bouncer chasing me earlier has finally got a hold of me.

"Didn't I tell you to stay away?" He bares his teeth in a snare and a cruel glare masks his face. Oh sh*t! I am in so much trouble.

"I-I am so sorry. Please let me go I promise I will get out of here before you can even blink an eye. Please" I plead him with a soft voice trying the puppy dog eyes on him. If only, his expression darkens even more.

"You should have thought about that when-" the bouncer's voice get's cut off when the door of the lounge opens and a tall lean male appears at the entrance.

My eyes meet his piercing grey ones that rake over my frame and a scorching heat envelopes in the pit of my stomach. A memory of us flashes in my mind when Devon and I had gone to a place where he had some car related work.

A warm fuzzy feeling covered my whole body as I thought about all events that followed after. Especially the part where he got me those cute flip flops because me being an idiot forgot to slip on some footwear. Immediately my cheeks became red and I avoided his eyes.

"Yeah I saw her. She is standing right in front of me" my head whipped in his direction when he mentioned me and narrowed my eyes in suspicion.

"Let her go" he lifts his chin in my direction, gesturing the two beefs to let me go. The two beefs exchange puzzled looks with each other before letting go of my arm and leaving.

"Well aren't you going to say thank you?" Devon's lips lifted up in a half teasing smile.

"Thank you..." I lower my head in embarrassment as I fidget with my fingers without looking up.

"No problem, birdy. So where is Wendy? She called me up saying she met a girl who was helping her find her friends. I would have never thought it would be you" Devon was now full out grinning with amusement glinting in his eyes.

"Oh well I never thought that you were a friend of her so I guess we are even here" I shrugged as my lips involuntarily  twitched up in a smile.

"Come let's go. I need to get that mess of girl out of here" Devon threw me a breathtaking smile before shoving his hands in his jacket pocket and followed me as I lead him down the stairs. Aaaand my heart was beating like crazy. I need to make an appointment for heart surgery.
