Tord had waited for 3 days for Edd to wake up. Nothing happened, except for Edd crying every now and then, calming down when Tord hugged him, and when he left, would start to cry again. Tord had never felt so hopeless. So helpless. So... worthless. He tried to convince himself that Edd would be OK. It never worked.
Tom and Matt had noticed how Tord always stayed at the hospital. He never talked, though.
"I'm afraid he will go mad and never do anything if Edd..." Matt said one day.
Tom nodded in agreement.
The next day, Tom,Tord, and Matt were going to the hospital. Tom said, "OK,Tord, man up. You need to speek or do something! God!"
Tord said, "I-I have tried.. but.. when I'm there with Edd by myself, he would start to cry... i wold go hug him and he would stop but... when i let go, he would cry more. I just don't know what to do..." He chuckled. "I'm no help, and i never was."

As Tom and Matt left Tord said, "I'm staying here tonight."
He hardly did this, so they let him stay.
Tord started praying, "Oh,Please... let him live. I could not live without him..."
