i want you to hold me
in your warm embrace
all night long
with your arms wrapped around me
to shield me from any more bullets
the world has shot at me
after my own guard has fallen apart.
i want you to wipe away
the tears streaming down my face
and listen to my nonsense ramblings
of unleashed thoughts
that were shoved away in a locked vault
with its maximum security
that has been worn down over time.
and with your soft, soothing voice,
i want you to tell me
that everything will be
alright.
