*If you use Clinton Anderson this might offend you...*
So I had a groundwork lesson with Cloud- hold up lemme explain something real quick...
My trainer is a hardcore Clinton Anderson fan but I've never seen her use any of the harsh methods on any horses so I thought maybe she doesn't use the bad methods on horses. Oh boy I was wrong. And keep in mind that Cloud is a very nervous horse... (and I'm not going to use my trainers real name so I'm gonna call her Sally)
So I was having a groundwork lesson and it started good at first but if Cloud did one thing that a normal nervous horse would do Sally gave her immediate punishment.
Usually groundwork is a good thing for horses, it's supposed to be a calm environment. During our lesson all I was getting from Cloud was fear. Basically the whole lesson was just whipping and punishment. I really didn't like the way it was going.Cloud is a nervous horse and obviously fear doesn't mix well with nervousness. I didn't like the vibes I was getting at all. I really don't want Cloud being treated like this. I'm concerned for her. She's just such a good horse and has so much potential but I don't want her to be so afraid that she can't even think about using that potential. I'm going to talk to my mom soon abt it and what we should do.
I went and saw her today and she didn't run off like I expected her too so that's good. I love her so much ❤❤
