I walked out of the kitchen to see Mara and Poppy talking about John Clarke and Mr. Sweet. They found out that the two men had gone to school together. "Poppy, can I talk to you for a minute?" I asked. She nodded, getting up and walking over to me, following me into the hallway.

"Poppy, I really do think it may be best if you don't know about your father. I know you don't have memories of him and you want to know who he is, but Jerome and I just don't want you to get hurt by the reality of the situation with your dad. We just want you to be happy and knowing about what happened with your dad isn't going to help." I told her. "I know you're only trying to help because you care, but I need to know who he is. Honestly, I'm surprised Gerbil hasn't asked you out yet. You are so sweet. He'd be lucky to have you." she told me. "Thank you. Promise me two things though?" I said. "Of course." she replied. "One, you'll be careful. Two, that Jerome doesn't find out about my feelings for him." I said. "Absolutely. Your secret is safe with me and I'll do my best to be careful." she promised. "Good." I said, giving her a warm hug. She went back to talk with Mara.

That night, I went to sleep rather early, too tired to really function by the time it was eight o'clock. I only woke up when the dollhouse was glowing and Nina woke me up. "What is it?" Nina asked. "Where is it?" I asked. "We don't know what you're trying to show us." We said simultaneously. We look at each other as a secret compartment towards the basement of the dollhouse opens. We gasp as Nina takes it out of the drawer. "Finally." Nina whispers.

A little while later, Nina and I went back to sleep. However, it wasn't a restful sleep for me. Soon after I fell asleep, I kept seeing Chisisi's body and hearing a voice saying that I'll be an awful mother. Unfortunately, my only solution was just not to sleep.
