Telling Amber and Video chatting Mick

When we went into the house after Mick left, I got Amber and brought her up to our room. Nina was already in there for a few minutes, so she could help me explain. "What were you talking about earlier?" Amber asked me. I sighed. 

"Amber, come here." I said. She was suspicious, but did as I said. I took her hand and held it to my slightly rounded belly. "I'm about three months along. Thirteen weeks as of a few days ago." I said. "But, thirteen weeks ago was the night of your attempt, wasn't it?" Amber asked, seriously confused now. "It was indeed Amber. It was also the night Ma'at came to me in a dream, saying it was time for my prophecy to be fulfilled." I said. 

"What prophecy?" Amber asked. "It was once written in an ancient Egyptian script that one day, a female descendant of Ma'at and Thoth, which was me and Chisisi, would become pregnant with their child. Up until Chisisi's passing, it was thought that it could be either of us. After she passed, I knew it would wind up being me, unless there was a distant relative I didn't know about. The night Chisisi passed, Thoth came into my dream saying that it was I who would one day carry their child. When I was unconscious at the hospital three months ago, Ma'at came to me in a dream and told me that it was time for my prophecy to be fulfilled. Now, in 27 weeks time, I will be delivering their child, who I am to name Seshat and raise as a normal child until such a time that they call her to them." I said. 

"But, what about the cursey spirit? What about the Mark?" she asked. "She can't touch me. As long as Seshat is in my care, I can't be touched by any Egyptian curse." I said. "She's under the protection of Ra himself. Anyone of Egyptian descent can't harm her. If they even try, their souls may be sent to Ammut, dependent upon the significance." Nina supplied. "So, she's carrying a goddess who allows her not to be touched by Egyptian related harm?" Amber asked. "Yes." Nina and I answered. She squealed and hugged me. She pulled back and I gave a sad smile. "What is it?" Nina asked. 

"I-I'm worried. I'm protected because of this baby, but what about you guys? You're all at risk for this curse. I just don't want to lose any more of my best friends." I said, tears sliding down my cheeks. "Hey. We'll be alright. I mean, come on, we found Robert's study. That's a start, right?" Nina asked, coming towards me. "I just can't bare to see any of you get hurt." I said. They both came over and hugged me. "We'll be okay. I promise. We'll be careful." Nina said. It was then that my tablet started dinging. 

"What on earth?" I asked, going over to my computer. It was a Skype call from a 'Socc3rdud3Aus'. I clicked answer and it was Mick. "Mick." I sighed happily, tears still rolling down my face. "Hey. Just haven't heard from you in a while and I wanted to check up on you. Are you okay?" he asked, noticing the tears. 

"I just miss you so much bro." I said, sitting in front of the monitor. "I miss you too. I'm guessing hormones had a factor in this as well." he said, being brutally honest. I chuckle. "Yeah. The hormones don't help either. I'll be fourteen weeks along tomorrow." I said. His eyes drop. "What is it Mick?" I asked. "It's just... It reminds me that it's been almost fourteen weeks since I almost lost you and a week since I left." Mick sighed. My face falls too. 

"Mick, I know. It hasn't been easy for me either. Trust me on that." I said. "I do. Like I said, though. I'm only one message away." he said. I smiled. "I'm only one call away. I'll be there to save the day." I start. "Superman got nothing on me. I'm only one call away." we sang together. "Call me baby if you need a friend. I just wanna give you love. C'mon, c'mon, c'mon. Reaching out to you, so take a chance." he continued. "No matter where you go, know you're not alone." we sang. "I'm only one call away. I'll be there to save the day. Superman got nothing on me. I'm only one call away. And when you're weak, I'll be strong. I'm gonna keep holding on. Now, don't you worry. It won't be long darling. And when you feel like hope is gone, just run into my arms." Mick continued. "I'm only one call away. I'll be there to save the day. Superman got nothing on me. I'm only one call away." We sang together. 

"I miss you so much Mick." I said, tears rolling down my face. "I know Vi. I miss you too. I should go. My roommate won't be happy I'm up so late." he said. "I almost forgot you're 9 hours ahead of us." I said. "Yeah. I'll talk to you later?" He said, unsure. "Of course. Night." I said. "Night." he said before the screen went to the ended call screen.
