I sat down in my office chair, and sighed heavily. Taehyung asked me out to lunch... what was I supposed to do now? He didn't specify where or what time, so I'm guessing that he'll text me about that later, but I still was feeling very flustered about this.
Don't get me wrong, I was definitely excited to see one of my high school friends again... but I was just very nervous and confused at the same time. It didn't occur to me at first that doing this would bring back all of those high school memories, and now I didn't know how to feel.
BTS, Sora, and I remained good friends throughout the rest of highschool. But after we graduated, we slowly went back to how we were before we had all become friends. Sora and I talked a little, and so did Bangtan, but it was never all 9 of us anymore.
Sora and Hoseok broke up a year or two after graduation, but I never really heard the full story. I guess things just didn't work out between them.
Even after a while, Sora and I drifted apart a bit, but not as much as me and BTS. I guess that's why I never heard the full story of their breakup...
I occasionally chatted with the members of BTS to see how they were doing, but that was rare. It was mostly just small talk; Hi, How's life going... simple things. We were done with highschool, and we had to move on with our lives. If we drifted apart, then so be it.
I messaged Taehyung the least out of the other members, but not because I liked him any less than them. It was just that there was so much drama between us in high school, and I wanted to leave it all behind us.
To be honest, I was a bit embarrassed about all of that drama. I feel like I overreacted a bit about it, and I just hoped that no one remembered me as that one overly dramatic girl or something...
I guess that's why I was so nervous about seeing Taehyung again. If I saw him, would the memories of all the drama be brought back?
I shook my head, ignoring the thought. It's only lunch, nothing more. Just catching up with an old friend. We'll go to lunch, but probably not see each other again for a long time. There's no point in worrying about it.
"Jihee, you okay? You seem a bit flustered." A voice asked.
I glanced upwards to see one of my co-workers standing outside of my office, Bora. We had become good friends since we both joined the company around the same time.
"Oh, I'm fine. I just ran into one of my old high school friends, that's all." I replied.
"Ooh, which one?" Bora asked.
I hesitated to answer for a second. I had told Bora about my high school drama a little bit, and although not every little detail was shared, she definitely knew who Taehyung was.
"It was Taehyung..." I answered a bit shyly, scared to see her reaction.
Her eyes widened. "Really?" She asked.
I nodded my head, and she entered my office quickly, sitting in the chair on the other side of my desk.
"Where did you see him? What did you guys talk about?" Bora asked quickly, excited to hear all of the answers.
"Woah, calm down. I just saw him in the coffee shop, and then again on the sidewalk afterwards. He asked if we could go get lunch together tomorrow." I replied.
Bora's eyes widened even more. "So you'll see him again tomorrow?"
I nodded.
"Woah, are you sure it won't be too awkward? Considering everything that happened in high school..."
