Chapter 8
2 months had passed and Carter seemed to be getting worse.
He found out about Tracy's job 2 days after she had left. He has caused his own heartbreak.
Work was hell for him. He hated the fact that she used to sit where he was sitting.
When he found out that he was taking her old job, he knew that karma was at odds.
He didn't only have feelings for her, he loved her. He still did.
He was about to call her when he looked up and saw her standing infront of him. She was with Tony and was looking as incredible as ever.
Maybe this was a sign.
"Hey, uhm, you're back for a visit." He blobberd out.
"Yes, I came to visit Tony and Porter."
"Porter..why?"
"Oh, you didn't know. Well were dating now."
Carter couldn't be more incredulous. He had her, he let her go and now she's with the romantic.
He knew love wasn't that bad because even though a heartbreak hurts as hell, the period he was inlove with her was one of the best moments of his life.
"Oh, well, that's good for you. I'm glad you're happy."
And she was. Or atleast she thought she was. He had been the sweetest. He was the guy she was looking for.
Her seeing Carter hurt a little, but she was over it. She knew that he had feelings for her, but love doesn't wait for anyone.
"I'll be seeing you around I guess." Tracy said.
"What? You're moving back here?" Carter asked.
"I guess I am, Mr.Earl found a great position for me here. I loved New York but I missed Tony too much."
"Only Tony?" Carter surprised himself by asking that.
"Yeah, only Tony."
Tracy knew she was lying to herself. She missed him. But she was happy with Porter.
Or so she thought.
