Chapter 1
Tracy loved her work. She was senior executive at her firm. At the age of 26, that wasn't so bad.
She graduated college young and always dreamt of being CEO of a very prestigious company.
Now, she was getting closer and closer to that dream.
"Listen up everyone, we will have a set of new interns coming over today. Teach them what needs to be taught and be on your best behavior. Some of them would be a part of the company soon." Mr. Earl was the head of the company and liked to make it clear.
"What a weiner." Tony Millet half-whispered to Tracy.
Tony was very cute. And had always been funny and sweet. Tracy was very fond of him.
"Yeah, I know right. You should probably go talk to him about it."
Tony stuck his toungue at her and that made her laugh.
"Too bad you're gay, you would have been the perfect boyfriend." Tracy mused.
"That's what they all say, can't help that I'm so handsome."
And Tracy laughed harder.
"Are you excited about the interns coming over." Tony beemed.
"Not really. I bet you are. You're always excited about new meat." Tracy teased.
"Hell yeah, new guys to flirt with. And you have to get in with me on that. You're too..too."
"Eloquent as ever Tony. I don't need no-good relationships. I need a guy who is serious about me and who wants to settle down and who has goals set for himself and who is.."
"Whatever honey, you're boring me now." Tony said and dismissed her with a familiar wave of his hand.
At first, Tracey used to hate it but she grew fond of it.
Hours past as she engaged in work. She was in the graphical designs department and she was given a project which required alot of coffee and little sleep.
It was almost 4pm when Mr.Earl announced that the interns had arrived.
Tony was busy getting glammed up and gossiping with the others on how he was going to win the boys over.
Tracy always admired Tony for his confidence.
She was almost done with work when a familiar hand touched her back.
She looked back and her brain did a complete summersault.
Carter was standing in front of her with a devilish grin.
