So after eating I made my way to the gate where I was late and Sakura and Naruto yelled at me. "Like I care if I'm late! This is a simple escort mission, Like I really need to take this seriously." I saw the old man tense up. Which put my curious mind to work. Hmm. He's excessively more nervous than the rank of the mission implies. Either he lied about the simplicity of the mission or he wants to lead us into a trap. Nah the old man isn't got the character to be a traitor. Either way this may get interesting if my hunch is right. We set off on the road at a leisurely pace. Along the way The group talked but I was simply reading while secretly examining the area. "Something wrong? You seem on edge." I looked over too see Kakashi had decided to walk beside me at the back of the group. "I feel like our client is hiding something. He's been tense and he's been looking all over." Kakashi lowered his voice a little. "I noticed it too. If you noticed it then it's not just my instincts." I nodded "I got a feeling theirs more to this mission than we were told." I said as I noticed a puddle on the road. That has to be the worst disguise ever. It hasn't rained in nearly a month and they decide to hide as a puddle. I act casual as I our attackers decide to 'ambush' us. They wrap chains around Kakashi and in a second he's eviscerated. Everyone else panics. I doubt a ninja of Kakashi's calibre would die to a simple trap. As they move in to attack I prepare. "I seriously hope you have something better planned than that!" As I quickly kick one of our assailants. I think they got Naruto once with their attacks. Alright I don't feel like dealing with this. I grabbed the chain that they both used. Luckily my gloves kept them from cutting me. With one hand I did the required handsigns. This will end it! "Lightning release: Lightning bolt!" The lightning went through my glove and through their chain electrifying the two attackers. I kept on the lightning till they were both unconscious. I calmly began to tie the two attackers up while my team looked at me like I was some psycho. "How can you be calm when Kakashi sensei was killed right in front of our eyes!" Sakura screeched. "Bye Kami your loud. And to answer your question the reason I'm calm is because one, a ninja should maintain their composure and two, Kakashi isn't dead, If he was their would be blood." As I finished my words Kakashi came out of his hiding spot. "Sorry for the scare, good work guys and sorry Naruto, didn't expect you to freeze up." Sasuke went to tease Naruto but I quickly went and countered him. "Don't even think of it emo, It's not uncommon that rookies freeze up like that. However I woulda expected the class ace to be able to defend his allies. Then again your an uchiha, can't even defend yourselves." If looks could kill, I'm pretty sure Sasuke's look would be lethal. "Anyway I think I've seen these guys in a bingo book I borrowed. Their rouge nin from Kirgakure right?" Kakashi nodded as he walked over to old bum. I'd sure hate to be him right now. "By the way Naruto, their weapons were poisoned so you may want to be careful." Naruto goes to panic but I stop him. "Jeez, your a pain! Just cut a x in the area you were cut in and use your chakra to push the toxin out." It took a bit but Naruto figured out my instructions. And luckily his... guest helped heal the remaining damage and from what I heard from Kakashi we were continuing the mission. We kept travelling till we got to a small dock and we all boarded the boat. As I listened to the old bum tell us his tale about Gato I let my curiosity get the better of me. "Hey taidana , if you don't mind I would like to do some investigating on Gato. I'd really like to try out my old tricks." Kakashi looked at me for a sec then nodded. Alright! This mission just got interesting.
