It was a rainy day in Konoha. Like the world itself was crying for the old man. It was good cause it covered up my tears. After a heartfelt speech and me giving a quick farewell to him. I headed home to clean up. I know I looked like a mess but I wasn't ashamed that I cried over the old man. In many ways he was more a parent to me than my own flesh and blood. I had just gotten out of the shower and had slipped some casual clothes on when I heard a knock at the door. "The door is open. Come in." I was kinda surprised that Shika was in my living room. "Hi Shika! What are you doing here?" He just stood up and walked over to me he looked nervous. "Theirs a festival in a nearby village and I was wondering  if you want to go with me. I mean if you are not busy. Troublesome woman." Is he asking me out on a date? I've never been to a festival. Sure it should be fun. I agreed and he let out a sigh of relief. "Ok well I'll come get you tonight. I nodded as he left. I giggled a bit after he left. I sound like a fangirl. I need to calm down. More importantly  I need to find a kimono for the festival.

Why did I let sensei talk me into this? Oh yeah he had Choji helping him. Troublesome. Oh well it is kinda nice to do something cheery to break the sour mood.....and it would be nice to see Naomi smile after I saw her crying at the funeral. Now where is she. Wait. Is that here in the red kimono. Wow, maybe this won't be so bad.

Well so far it has been nice this.....date? We had wandered around the festival. I managed to win me a little kitten who so far had decided that Shika's head was a nice place to nap. We played a few more games and then went and found a place to sit as the fireworks started.

"This has been nice Shika." I said while we sat together. I wondered what he was doing since it was quiet. When I turned in his direction though out lips met. My eyes widened but I didn't push him away. Soon though we broke the kiss and I was sure I was blushing. He pulled me close and we laid their as the fireworks came to a end.
