In love with the studious boy...

Lost In Thoughts.

The next day Sanyukta and Randhir both sat together in class but no one spoke.

Parth-"Arpita what happened, why are they not talking? "

Arpita-"I have no idea, everything was ok till yesterday."

Parth-"What happened guys why are you not talking? "

Both of them kept quiet.

Parth-"Did you fight?"

Arpita-"Forgive each other and be friends again."

They kept quiet and didn't answer any question.
Parth and Arpita tried to ask them what happened but they wouldn't say anything.

Parth-"Till when is this going to last?"

Arpita-"I don't know but both of them seem to be hurt."

Parth-"I see."

Arpita- "I think its their fight if we interfere it will be wrong."

Parth-"But we can't let them be like this."

Arpita-"shh…The professor has come."

The lectures were boring as there was nothing but revision to do.

After a few hours which was like years the bell for the break rang.

The group gathered for lunch.

Parth- "Randhir tell me what happened?"

Arpita-"its ok if you don't want to tell, but if you tell us we can solve your problem. "

Parth-"Why are you not saying anything? "

Randhir and Sanyukta looked at each other.
They saw hurt and regret in each others eyes.
They both ran away in other directions.

Parth-"What should we do now?"

Arpita-"Let them sort it themselves."

Parth-"yes i think they just need time to cool down."

Arpita-"They will be friends again soon. "

Parth-"hope so."

Parth and Arpita have their lunch.

Randhir runs to the temple steps and sits there.
His breathing is very fast and his heart beats are out of control.

Randhir-"I shouldn't have come to college today."

Sanyukta came running to a bench in the garden.

Sanyukta-"Why Sanyu? Why did you come to college today? "

Randhir thinks about how there was hurt in Sanyukta's eyes he keeps blaming himself.

Randhir-"All this happened because of me. I am stupid I just let her go, actually I ran away. I should have hold her hand, stopped her and told her that I love her so much but I don't have the courage. I think I have lost the only person I love."

Randhir feels sad, he goes inside the temple and sits near the god's feet. He eats his lunch after some time.

Sanyukta keeps talking to herself.

Sanyukta-"You saw sanyukta? Did you see the hurt in his eyes? His eyes looked as if he cried the whole night. I have hurt him and I kept anger overcome my mind."

Sanyukta got up and kept walking back and forth in the garden. She noticed her watch, it was almost time for the break to get over, she quickly ate her lunch and rushed to class.

The professor took 10 minutes to come to the class.

Professor-"Girls and boys I have an important announcement. So keep quiet and listen carefully. The principal has said  that if the students want to sit at home and study then they are allowed to do that. So you all can sit at home from tomorrow and come to college on the day of exam. And one more thing the professors of the next two lectures are busy and I have to go to the office for some important work that means you can go home now. All the best for your exams."

The professor left the classroom.

Everyone started going home. Sanyukta and Randhir also packed their bags and left hurriedly.

Parth-"What about us? Didn't even say 'bye' or 'All the best' don't we mean anything to them?

Arpita-"Parth stop it they are probably lost in their thoughts."

Parth-"Yes, thoughts of each other."

They realized that they were the only ones left in the class.

Parth looked at Arpita.

Arpita-"What?"

Parth-"Everyone left."

Arpita- "I can see."

Parth-"yes you can see but you are not thinking."

Arpita tries to think.
(In her mind.)
What is he talking about? What is he thinking? Maybe about kissing…

Parth-"I really thought you can think what I think."

Arpita- "I really can't think and what I think won't happen."

Parth-"oh, what were you thinking? "

Arpita-"you first."

Parth-"I was thinking that we won't meet till exams now so why don't we go to my favorite café. And I was trying to tell you to hurry up."

Arpita laughed.

Parth-"I am curious to know what were you thinking. "

Arpita-"You know it already right?"
Arpita blushes.

Parth-"No, I don't."
and he laughes
Actually He did know what she was thinking about.

Arpita and Parth have coffee and spend a good time.

Parth drops Arpita in front of her house.

Arpita-"See you later, all the best for exams."

Parth-"You really won't tell me what you were thinking about?"

Arpita kisses Parth on his cheek.

Parth-"This is not fair."

Arpita laughes

Arpita-"bye bye."

Parth-"bye." Parth smiles.

Now everyone is home and exams are going to start soon but no one is studying.

You know why?

Because they are lost in thoughts
