Real bands save fans, real fans save bands.
I've just kinda been thinking about that quote all day. Especially the first part. And then one thought led to another. And then a rant idea happened. A lot of us have an undying love for bands, but then there are a lot of people who don't get it. It gets hard trying to explain it. Yeah, they have great music, are extremely funny, and happen to be really attractive at the same time but there's more behind it. It's not just they're great people. It's the fact that they've saved your life. But how do you explain that to people? It's either really hard to admit or they just won't get it. Now all you can do is sit there and try to explain but to no avail. They just can't understand.
Now I definitely know a few things on this. There are certain bands that I have a deep personal connection with. Sometimes my love for a specific band or person isn't just because of what people might think. In fact, I'm pretty sure all of the bands I listen to have helped me in one way or another. It's seems pretty simple. But trying to get that out is the hard part. How do you say it without spilling your life story or getting a weird look? You just can't. I don't know what I'd do without some of these people. Whether or not they know me doesn't matter. They've helped. They've been there when some people just couldn't. They pulled me out of some of my darkest times. And I couldn't ever thank them enough. But some people just don't understand, and quite frankly, it's the most frustrating thing out there.
Tell me about someone or someones I guess who have saved your life or at least made it better in some way. And I would just like to end this with a dedication to all the bands and artists that have saved a fan's, or even just a person's, life. And to all of the fans and people who have had their lives saved. You guys keep all your favorite bands and artists going. xx
