It's been two months since the execution and me and my brother had moved into a compact suburban house. The siding was painted a soft lilac, I picked that out, since it was my favorite color, and we had white shutters with white tulips beneath them. My brother, with the money he earned in the military, bought my freedom. Now, I worked in a small quaint library just inside of town. We moved far away from the castle, too many horrors had occurred in that wretched city.
On my way to the library, I heard the sound of crunching gravel, pulse spiking, I quickly turned around but relaxed once I saw it was just my best friend, Brody. Me and Brody met by chance, on my first day of work he came by to check out a children's book for his niece. He had escorted me to work everyday since.

When we arrived at the library I expected him to turn around and leave like he did every other day, but instead he asked, "Hey, Amelia do you think we could ever... maybe go on a date." My eyes widen, I had never been on a date before, but I guess there's a first for everything.

Ok I know I know this is a very very short chapter but it's because I wanted to make the ending short and sweet and not drag it out for too long cause then if ruins the story and makes it boring.
