"I can handle it"

My alarm wakes me up at 6:30. I groan as i reach over to switch it off.
Just then i realised im alone.. In my bed.. Jay's probably already up. Somethings up with him he just doesnt wanna tell me whats wrong.

I get up and go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Once im done i walk downstairs into the kitchen to see jay had already made breakfast.. His to busy on his phone to notice me.

"Morning" i say softly as he lifts his head up from his phone for the first time this morning im assuming.

"Morning" he says as he pours me coffee and hands it to me. I know his distracted by something.

"Jay?" i say obviously annoyed with the fact that his not paying any attention.

"Yeah" he replies looking at me

"Whats wrong?" i ask looking at him for a fucking answer.

"Nothing." he says.
Like seriously i can tell when youre lying asshole.

"Dont give me that shit Jay somethings wrong i know somethings up" i yell slightly

His clearly shocked at my outburst but i just had to ask him.

"Erin theres nothing wrong okay" he says looking everywhere but into my eyes

"Why wont you tell me..im your girlfriend.. Whatever it is..I can handle it"

"Im not sure you can handle this one" he says softly..his worried i can tell.

"Please just tell me Jay" i say softly.

"My ex wife Abby's in town and i found out that she didnt sign our divorce papers and she wants to be a family"  he says looking at me

"How long has she been here?" i ask softly hoping for a good answer

"5 months" he says..

"Why didnt you tell me dont you think you owe me that much..im your girlfriend Jay!" i yell at him

"You had so much going on Erin.. I wasnt going to add to that okay and im handling it" he says

"Do you still love her?" i ask more softer this time as a few tears roll down my cheeks.

"No baby of course not" he says softer.

"So she wants to start a family with you?" i ask wiping my tears away

"Yeah.." he says looking away.

"Whats gonna happen with us" i ask clearly needing an answer.. I cant be with someone who doesnt love me

"I dont know..I dont want anything to change between us" he says

"How can you say that? You know things were  gonna change the minute you didnt tell me about her Jay!" i say

"Im sorry i hid it from you i know it was wrong of me to do that" he says

"I hate that i love you" i say harshly as i get up from the bar chair i sat on.
And decide to get ready for work.
