"AYUMI! We're gonna be late!"

Kyousuke yelled, wondering why he had to bring her to school every day. It was casual Friday that day, so they could wear anything they desired. He wore a shirt that was half white and half red with some dark colored jeans.
I wonder what Ayumi is gonna wear? He wondered. After he processed his own thoughts, he felt slightly embarrassed. She's your friend. He slapped himself pretty hard, and the gesture didn't go unnoticed "Uhm, is there a fly I don't know about on your face?"

Turning around, Kyousuke saw a girl with a green crop top shirt and light blue shorts that were ripped in the bottom. "Your face is so red" But Kyousuke had a feeling that the red did not just come from the multiple slaps he landed on himself. "What? Nah, I'm fine" he said, trying to control himself. "Kyousuke-kun?" Ayumi looked concerned, as Kyousuke realized that he had froze the entire right side of his body. Ayumi giggled, "you look like a human popsicle". Feeling even worse, Kyousuke unfroze himself using his left hand. After he reverted back to a boy, Ayumi grabbed his left hand and slowly began to sprint.

"We're gonna be late for school, aren't we lucky?" She said, the running not affecting her at all. Kyousuke just watched her as he was dragged along behind her. "What's wrong Kyousuke?" Ayumi asked confused, "you're being awfully quiet today..." But Kyousuke could not hear her. He did, however, notice the way her hair flew in the morning breeze, just like silk. Her green eyes sparkling. How her white skin glistened under the sunlight. The warmth of her hand that was still clasped tightly around his. Lost in thought, he ran behind her not saying another word. Until she let go.

"GOOD MORNING!" Ayumi screamed, one hand pretending to hold a microphone. She used her free hand to point at a very surprised and confused Kyousuke. "IT'S MORNING! TIME TO WAKE UP!!" Her loud voice caused multiple pedestrians to jump back and stare. The two of them stood there for a moment, just standing still. Until Kyousuke let out a full hearted laugh, "Yes ma'am" As if nothing had happened, they continued to run, talking about recent events and just plain utter nonsense.

Ayumi: So I heard that there was a guy who tried to rob a bank with the power to control paper.
Kyousuke: Seriously? Did he get away with it though?
Ayumi: Oh ye of little faith in Heroes, Stickkid stopped him
Kyousuke: Stikkid? Isn't he that guy who got himself and other Heroes stuck in his own Quirk?
Ayumi: Oh yeah, now that was fun

And they both laughed, having to slow down a little to catch their breath. Kyousuke looked at his watch. 6:45, they still had some time to spare. "Hey Ayumi! I think we can slow down a bit!" And they did, running at a more human-like pace. Though they ran for at least 30 minutes, Ayumi still looked like she could run miles more. And she still smells nice... Kyousuke returned to his daydream-like state as he walked alongside Ayumi. She sighed, "what is it with you and sleep walking?" As Kyousuke continued to run in a daze, Ayumi kept looking back with concerns. She stopped abruptly to ask him what was wrong, causing Kyousuke to ram into her. They both collapsed on the floor.

"Are you ok?" Ayumi asked Kyousuke. He opened his eyes to find himself on top of her. "Uh...um...OUCH" Kyousuke looked to his left, and he found his hand looking rather broken. He tried to lift it, but the stabbing pain told him not to. Ayumi looked at his pained expression and noticed the purple wrist to her right. "Kyousuke! We have to take you to the hospital!" But what confused her was when Kyousuke said, "No." She looked even more confused as he gave her this look that said, "you broke it, you fix it" Giving up, she took his right hand and pulled him up. "Let's go"

Kyousuke had no idea what she was doing. She can heal me right? I mean, she did that for Ryoga. But it didn't look like she had any intention of healing him. To have his revenge, he stepped in front of her to obstruct her path and faced her. Unfortunately for him, she had better reflexes and stopped just as they were about to collide for the second time in one day. But instead of looking rebellious and cold, she just looked worried. As Kyousuke opened his mouth to say something, Ayumi asked, "Did I do anything to make you like this?" And he couldn't have said it better himself. Kyousuke brought out his injured hand for Ayumi to see. "Why won't you heal me? When you would do it for Ryoga"

She slapped him, and his face became very red. He was about to yell at her, until he found that her face was red too. Kyousuke, concerned, quietly reached out to her with his uninjured hand before Ayumi interrupted him with her nonchalant answer, "That time was different." It was my fault. "You're only hurt because you're an idiot" she said with a mischievous wink. Taken aback by her response, Kyousuke simply stood there as she skipped away.

"HEY! That was uncalled for!" His wrist began to really bother him. Due to his rather reckless nature, he regularly sustained painful injuries. But this time, because of how distracted he was, he was unable to minimise the damage. He continued to chase after her, breath laboured. Ayumi noticed how he was acting and slowed down so he could catch up.

"Is it that bad? Aren't you aiming to become a top hero?" She said matter-of-factly.

The pain making it hard for him to concentrate, Kyousuke couldn't give her a coherent reply. "I'm, yeah, school..." "Hey" "Huh? I said mhm I- AHHH!" He screamed loudly as Ayumi held his broken hand tightly with her perfectly healthy right hand. But it didn't take long for the sting to subside. Mind clear and their hands no longer interlocked, Kyousuke was about to start complaining when he noticed that his hand was completely healed.

But he was unable to see the tears beginning to form in Ayumi's eyes.
