The love of your life threw her head back in laughter as you sped past the Virginia border, easily passing 100mph.
"Mystic Falls, here we come!" Katherine Pierce exclaimed, looking over at you with shining eyes. She reached over and grabbed your hand that wasn't on the while and raised in the air with her own. You laughed despite yourself, trying to keep a level head for your spirited partner's sake but failing to keep the excitement in.
Soon enough, you passed a sign reading Welcome to Mystic Falls and Katherine shrieked in delight.
"Oh y/n you'll love it here! I did until they tried to kill me!"
She directed you through the sparse town square until you pulled up at a huge mansion that Katherine seemed incredible happy to see.
"That's the Salvatore Boarding House," she told you as you parked.
"Ooh," you replied as two young men came bounding outside.
"Katherine? Seriously?" The more astute looking of the two exclaimed, glaring at your girlfriend.
"Hey, Stefan", she purred, while the other brother looked at you with confusion.
"Hey, you," he muttered, "you good? If she's got you trapped we can help you out."
You raised an eyebrow at this, while Katherine swiveled to face him with an outraged expression on her face.
"No, I'm with her because I want to be." The dark-haired brother looked completely confused at this.
"Stefan," he addressed his brother, "Kathy's got her ass deep in compulsion."
"No I don't!" The aforementioned Kathy burst out. "She's my girlfriend!"
The Salvatore's had identical expressions of disbelief.
They looked at her with confusion, and then turned to you pleadingly, as if you could offer them anything.
You glared at them both, walking the few steps over to Katherine and planting a firm kiss on her lips.
"Well," Stefan said, seeming to have recovered himself, "at least you've gotten over us."
"Oh, I may not want you two anymore, but you're still at my mercy. Double the woman is double the fun!"
Katherine placed a faux smile on her face as she wrapped her arm around you and kissed the shell of your ear without ever losing eye contact with Stefan.
