The Truth Comes out

Melodie POV

As I'm sitting here I say to my baby girl. Novah your the most beautiful girl in the world and I'm proud to be your mother. Then I hear a throat being cleared and I looked up and saw Nova standing behind me. I looked at him with a sad face. He looked at me and said can I sit. I sat there a while then I nodded yes. He sat beside me and said we need to talk.
I looked him in his eyes and said straight out forward Yes She Is Your Baby.

Nova POV
I sat down beside her and said we need to talk. She looked me dead in my eyes and said Yes She's Your Baby. I looked at her with a blank face. I didn't know I zoned out until I heard her say Nova Nova did you hear what I said.  I looked at her and said did you just tell me you had my baby?  She looked at me with tears in her eyes and shook her head yes.

Melodie POV
I understand if you don't believe me but I promise you she's yours I said with my head down. I looked up at him and it looked like he was staring outta space or something so I called his name twice and he shook outta of it. I said did you hear what I said?  He look at me and said Did you just say you had my baby. I looked at him with tears in my eyes and shook my head yes. Then I started to repeat what I said earlier. Look Nova I understand if you don't think she's yours but I promise you that she is. I said all in one breath before I started to cry. He pulled me into a hug and told me to stop crying.

Nova POV
As I sat there she started talking more. She said look Nova I understand if you don't think that she is yours but I promise you that she is all in one breath before she started to cry. I pulled her into my arms and told her not to cry and that everything is going to be alright. I freally didnt know what else to do. I pulled away from the hug an looked at her the the baby she was adorable and I had no doubt in my mind that she was mine. The same eyes nose and mouth. I did the unthinkable and asked Melodie if I could hold her. She stared at me for a minute and the took her out of her carrier and passed her to me.

Molodie POV
After Nova huged me for a minute he pulled away from the hug. Her then looked from me to the baby a few times. Then he asked the unthinkable. He asked me if he could hold her. I stared at him for a moment. Then I took her out of her carrier and passed her to him. I was hoping she didn't fuss are cry. To my surprise she looked up at him and started to smile. I smiled cause its like it came natural to him. She sat in his lap and just smiled at him. Then she started to make cooing noises and he just sat there and had a conversation with her. While he was Novah I got up to our clothes in the dryer. I kept glancing  back to see how they were doing. He was doing a good job. I'm kinda sad he didn't get to see her come into the world. And I can't help but to think that its all my fault. Hopefully we can move pass this and co-parent her. Only time can tell.
