The Talk

Melodie POV

I got off of work around 11:30 I called Nova to let him know I was on my way to pick Novah up. He said okay and hung up. I don't think that he wanted her to leave.

I pulled up to his house about an half hour later. I walked to his door and knocked. He came to open it five minutes later. I said it took you long enough. I'm tired and I need to get Novah home. He looked at me. I was like what. He said well she's already sleeping. I said you couldn't tell me that when I called. He said no I wanted you to come over. I asked him why. He said that we really needed to sit down and talk. I told I tried to wake him up earlier but he didn't want to get up. He gave me that look. I rolled my eyes and said fine Nova you wanna talk let's talk. He had the audacity to say Mel can we talk about it in the morning. All I want to do is be laid up with you and Novah. I looked at him and said you can be laid up with Novah but not me. He looked at me with pleading eyes then I finally caved. I said FINE don't try nothing crazy. We went up stairs to see Novah wide awake staring at the TV. I smiled and walked over to her. I said mommies princess. She looked at me and smiled showing her gums. Then Nova walked up behind me and she goes crazy kicking her feet and everything. I say it looks like someone turned into a daddies girl. I smiled. Then I said did you have fun with Daddy today in my baby voice. She just smiled and kicked her feet. I was happy to see my princess happy. I started to yawn and I guess Nova saw so he gave me one over his shirts ad a pair of boxers to sleep in. I went into the bathroom and found a wash cloth and washed up. I put the clothes on and walked out of the bathroom. I saw Nova laying with Novah in his arms. I walked over to the bed and got in. Nova looked over me and told me to move closer to him. I did as he said. He wrapped his free arm around me and pulled me into him. I snuggled up to him. I felt lips on my forehead and heard a faint good night before I passed out.

The next morning
I woke up to an arm around me. I looked up to see a sleeping Nova. I looked for my princess just to see her sleeping in her bassinet on Nova's side of the bed. I try to get up and Nova's grip tightened. I wispered in his ear that I had to pee. He let go. I went to the bathroom and did what I had to and walked out. When I got out I see Nova up. He looks at me and asked if I was ready to talk before princess Novah wakes up. I giggled at what he said and shook my head yes.

Nova POV
Last night had both of my girls stay with me. Melodie wasn't having it at first but then I gave hery pleading eyes she then finally caved in. I was so happy. I had her cuddle with me too. I was happy that she was in my arms when I woke up. I was up for about an hour staring at Mel. When she started to move I pretend to be sleep. Then she tried to get up. Then I tightened my grip. She whispered in my ear she had to pee. I let her go and sat up.
When she came out the bathroom I sat and admired how she looked in my shirt. I could see myself waking up to this everyday. I then asked her if she wanted to talk while princess Novah was sleeping. She giggled a little and shook her head yes. So I grabbed the baby monitor and grab her hand and lead her down stairs so we could start our conversation..

Conversation
Me:So where do you want to start
Mel:How about the fact you took my vcard and disappeared and then reappear outta no where.
Me:Whoa Mel it wasn't even like that I promise. I lost my phone in my move to hear a few days after we did what we did. All I did was think about you I swear.
Mel:I really want to believe you I really do. I thought about you for a whole month. After that I found out I was six weeks. I know I couldn't stay in Ohio so I transferred schools and came down here to VA.
Me: Please believe me. All I wanted to do was see your beautiful face. I'm sorry I didn't come to your place it's not like I didn't know where you lived. Im so sorry Mel.
Mel:I forgive you. Now the question is if you gonna forgive me?
Me: One question were you ever gonna tell me about her.
Mel:To be honest if would have ran into you other then that probably not.
Me: I looked at her and said thank you for your honesty and forgave her. I got up and hugged her.
She hugged me back and just sat there in silence. I didn't know what else to say. Then we heard crying. We walked up stairs to see Novah wide awake. She reached for Melodie. It must be feeding time I thought to myself. As I guessed Novah was ripping at the shirt so Mel lifted the shirt half way off and started feeding her. I thought it was a beautiful sight....
