The boy walks down the street coming home from practice
He’s a star scholar
A burden at home
He drags his feet making his way home
If he doesn’t make it home
No one would care
He gets home to start dinner
He makes a lovely meal
His father comes in and tells him to do it all over again
The boy makes the dinner and can never get it right
The father loses his temper and rages all night
The boy tells coach he got into a fight
Coach doesn’t know he just stood there all night
The father tells him he’s a burden
The mother isn’t around
The boy tries to take it all away
But this goes on all night
