This day seemed like it was never going to end. It was already the last period of the day but when you're looking forward to events happening after school, 50 minutes turns into 3 hours. I tapped the end of my pen against my desk and stared at the clock, not listening to the teacher. Just 10 minutes left. I counted the seconds as the hand on the clock ticked until somebody poked my side causing me to let out a small squeal. I turned around to a smirking Michael. "Miss Benson, are you alright?" The teacher asked and I nodded before turning back to Michael.

"Would you quit that!" I whisper-yelled at him. He chuckled and reached to do it again but I grabbed his hand. We both looked at eachother and I suddenly was very aware of the fact that we were holding hands. I slowly pulled my hand back and Michael just smiled.

"You excited for this weekend? Excited to ride with me? " He whispered to break the tension. I nodded.

"Suuuurreee. Yes I'm excited. It's been a long time since I've been to the beach." I told him.

"Since your dad?" He asked and the smile on my face involuntarily faded. He realized and started apologizing.

"Shit I'm sorry Ronnie, I forgot." He ran his hands through his hair.

"It's okay Michael, don't worry about it." I said just as the bell rang, finally. We walked out of class together and to our lockers.

"Alright so I have to go meet June so we can get a few last minute things and the we'll meet you....."

"At my house." He finished.

"Yes, your house." I'm not sure what came over me but I had the sudden urge to hug Michael, so I did. I jumped up and wrapped my arms around his neck. He was taken back by the sudden affection but he wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me back. After a few more moments, I let go.

"See you later." I smiled and turned on my heel to skip down the hallway. I turned back and he was still looking at me as I skipped away.

I don't know what came over me today. I woke up feeling somewhat happy, which hasn't happened in awhile. Maybe it was this trip, maybe it was Michael. Either way, I didn't want the feeling to go away.

-

"Did we get everything?" June asked, scanning her eyes over everything in the trunk. I did a double check myself and shut the door.

"Yup." We hurried to meet the boys at Michaels. We were supposed to have met 35 minutes ago. When we pulled into the driveway, the boys were standing outside and stared at us as we got out.

"It's about time. Damn." Calum joked. I rolled my eyes and shoved him as I walked by to get to Michaels car.

"This should be a fun 3 hours." I smiled and walked to the drivers side. I realized how glad I was to have chose to wear comfy clothes. That being black yoga shorts and a white vneck with my black bikini underneath. Michael had on some basketball shorts, a change from his usual black jeans, and a black tshirt.

"Alright, you two know where you're going?" Ashton asked. Michael nudged me. All of us knew Ashton was the "leader" of our little group but he wouldn't admit it. He's the one always planning stuff and making sure everything goes right.

"Yes dad." Michael laughed and Ash gave him a scowl. I laughed and got in the car.

"See you there!" I yelled out the window as Michael got in the drivers dead and we all pulled out onto the road.

The first hour basically consisted of Michael and I arguing over what to listen to. We eventually agreed on Bon Jovi. Mostly because neither of us had listened to it in a long time and because we were tired of arguing. We sang through a few songs and laughed for awhile before I started feeling tired. Next thing I knew, I was fast asleep with my head against the window.

"Ronnie roo!" I snapped awake and looked out  my window to see the beach.
"We're here!" My dad exclaimed excitedly. I smiled and hurried out of the car.

"Can we unpack later?" I begged my dad, knowing he couldn't resist. I glanced over at the beach house we always rented each year then  looked back at my dad.

"I guess. Let's go." He said and I took off running towards the water. My dad followed after and we splashed around in the ocean.

"I love you Ronnie roo." He smiled down at me and hugged me, his scruffy beard rough against my head. I leaned against him and suddenly started shaking.

"Huh?" I mumbled and blinked a couple times.

"Dad?" I looked up but it wasn't my dad, it was Michael. It was just a dream. Michael looked startled that I called out for my dad.

"Uh, no sorry. We're here." He said and pointed out the window. I got an extreme sense of deja vu, but it was covered up with excitement as I set eyes on the beach. I proceeded to embarrass myself by nearly falling on my face when trying to hurry out of the car.

"Woah there." Michael laughed at my clumsiness. "We have to at least take our stuff in first." He said. I thought about arguing and re living the dream Id just had but I didn't.

"Good idea." We grabbed our bags just as June and the boys pulled in. Calum got out of the car before it even stopped.

"I hate long car rides!" He screamed and we all just laughed. Everybody grabbed their stuff and we started towards the houses.

"We just have to go around this small path first." Michael said. I looked around me and something looked familiar but I couldn't tell what. As we approached the house my knees buckled and I couldn't move. Ashton ran into me but I barely budged.

"V you ok- Oh shit." June said as she stood beside me staring at the house.

"What's wrong? Is she okay?" Luke asked.

"Not really. This is the same house her dad used to rent when they came to the beach." She told them and I felt myself hit the hot sand.

yikes i'm sorry this sucks i'm the worst person
