I tap the tip of my pencil on my wooden desk, causing it to make loud but bearable taps. I then slump back on my chair and groan slightly, chewing the pencil while trying to forget the piece of paper that was stuck on my desk in front of me. I momentarily look up and stare at the ceiling and began counting the ceiling tiles, while secretly praying to God to help me pass this damn test I didn't study for last night.
I sighed as I properly sat up. Our teacher kept eyeing me for she noticed me that I haven't shown any action of actually writing anything in the past five minutes. I looked at my test paper, which is already full of erasures and unnecessary markings. The paper was also slightly crumpled, my hands obviously hate test papers as much as I do.
I look to my right where Asher, my best friend, was calmly writing on her paper.
God damn it, you little shit. Help me!, I shouted at her in my head, hoping that telepathy would work somehow. Without any luck, she barely even looked my way and only kept her full concentration on her test paper.
"Three minutes left." Ms. Simmons, our teacher, lazily said. With the classroom so quiet, her voice sounded very loud in the room, making us all look up into her direction.
There must have been a small gust of wind that made me snap myself. I then quickly held my paper up and realized that I haven't answered half the answers on it. And I only have less than three minutes left to answer them all.
Fuck this. I then quickly answered everything on the paper. I wrote very fast, not caring about how my penmanship goes, nor having a good result in this test.
As I finally finished my five-page test in a minute and a half, I slammed my pencil on the floor, which mainly caused its lead to break off. No one in the room minded but my seat mate, who was looking at me quite weirdly. I stuck my tongue out at him and he rolled his eyes. After our little face communication, I reached out for my pencil and sharpened it and waited for time to pass by.
"Okay, pass your papers. Now." the professor instructed. Finally. I sighed as all of our test papers were passed to Ms. Simmons.
Note to self, never ever bail out on studying for a test, especially if it was Algebra. And, even if the excuse was about having a strong wifi connection. You have to study next time.
But whatever. Exams day is done, anyway. I just really hope that I would get a neat score on that fucking test.
As Ms. Simmons was finished filing our papers on her table, she stood up and walked to the blackboard.
"Alright, we still have five minutes until lunch, so let us review a bit of calculus today."
Everyone in class gave out a defeated groan as our teacher started talking whilst writing equations on the board.
I didn't even bother to listen to her. I took my copy of Anna Todd's After book and began to read instead of listening to the last five minutes of boredom.

As the school bell rang for lunch, I quickly sprang off my seat and went to my best friends, Asher, Venice and Wednesday.
"Girls, let's go downstairs to buy some food, yeah? That test was making me hungry." I said, as I walk to the door of our classroom. I am actually really hungry right now. I think I just saw an imaginary carbonara above Asher's unruly hair.
"Yeah, sure. Like staring at me for an answer made you that hungry," Asher replied, Venice and Wednesday snickering at me as we walked out the door, them behind me.
