Romania.
10 weeks.
The more I thought about it, the angrier I got.
ROMANIA.
10 WEEKS.
I was absolutely fuming. Surely I had a say in this? Surely I had to sign some sort of agreement?
I had later found out that I was going to the airport straight from the hospital, and they had been home already to get me my things. Talk about hasty.
The girls had, of course, gone home. The boys were downright refusing to leave.
"Kassy are you ready?"
"Yeah."
"Perk up."
I was outraged. It did my head in when my parents said:'perk up.' Especially when they said it in a really snappy tone. How can I perk up if you're being ratty?
"K-Kassy?" Johnny stood in the doorway, immensely confused as to why I had a massive suitcase filled with my belongings.
"Johnny?" He walked in, slowly.
"What's going on?"
"I'm going to Romania for 10 weeks because according to the parents I'm an ungrateful brat."
"You're leaving?" He begun crying again, and flew into my arms, burying his head in the crook of my neck. My heart shattered into a million pieces in that moment.
"Trust me Johnny, if it were up to me, I'd be staying."
He sobbed loudly, and the other boys came in to see what all the commotion was about. Luckily, they didn't ask questions. Just joined in with the hug.
I opened my tear filled eyes for a second, to see a pair of angry, impatient parents standing outside the window, looking disapprovingly at our group hug. So I did the only thing I could think of at that moment, and flagged them both.
It was a bit of a heat-of-the-moment thing, but I didn't regret it. The shock on their faces was priceless.
My friends and I were all sobbing wrecks, and when my parents had to physically drag me out by force, it got even worse. There was scratching, clawing, and alot of screaming. I mean, I wanted to cause a scene so I went down screaming profanities.
My parents were so mad at me at that point, I stopped listening to their rants. All the way to the airport, I stayed silent.
After check in, there came a point where my parents couldn't go with me any further, and this was my favorite part about the whole ordeal.
My Mum started crying.
"Oh, my baby girl. I'll miss you so much."
I scoffed, and sent her the best glare I could.
"You'll miss me my ass."
And with that, I turned and walked away from them, not regretting a thing.

I sat in Costa, just stirring my drink. I had been sitting here for about an hour, just stirring my drink and sulking over the fact that I wouldn't be seeing Johnny for 10 weeks.
10 bloody weeks.
